Beta Zachary Martini - POV

"And an eye for an eye." The venatore's words kept echoing in my head as I stayed as still as a rock. I knew my end would be near, and I expected Arlo to kill me. If the venatores decide my fate, I know that I would be publicly humiliated before I get killed, and I do not think I would be able to die that way. 

I moved towards the cell bar and looked out at the dimly lit hallway. I heard rogues talking, some moaning in agony. "Heath?" My voice was scratchy, making me cough a few times. I have lost count of the days I have been locked up in this dungeon, and it is very hard to decipher night from day because there is absolutely no light coming in from the outside. I grabbed hold of the silver bar, which burnt my hand, as I got up from the floor and walked towards the small bucket that was on the corner of my cell.
