Isabella Martini - POV
I stood as still as a rock while my eyes were glued to Summer's body that was in front of me. "You are responsible for her death." his words kept ringing in my ear when I felt the warm tears roll down my cheeks.
I lost my balance and fell to the dirt floor as I scooped the child in my arms. "I…I am sorry, sweetheart." I whispered as I looked at her peaceful face. I didn't know why I couldn't shift or get in contact with Rose. It was like something held me in place for a moment.
I looked at the little girl, and my heart squeezed in agony. Her brown curls were framing her beautiful face as I pushed them away and placed a kiss on her forehead. She didn't do anything wrong, and yet, her innocent life ended without a second thought. "Isabella?" I heard Sophia's voice, but I didn't move.
