We didn't have any clothes to change into as we walked inside the room. It wasn't that big, there was a queen-sized bed and a small desk in front of it along with a door next to it that must be the bathroom. The room was painted in pastel blue and white, and the window that was beside the bed was covered with lace curtains.
"How much money was in the car?" I asked Gael as I removed my sandals and took a seat on the bed.
"Quiet a lot. Three thousand dollars," he answered as he took the money out from his pocket and showed it to me. "I didn't know Arlo kept that much money in his vehicle."
"It's not his vehicle. So if I go back to that pack, I will have to repay the owner." I said as I got under the covers. My back was aching after driving for more than eight hours, and my eyes were already drooping close.
