Isabella Martini - POV
"Any news?" I asked Audrey as I paced back and forth in the hospital room where we were staying. The sun had long set, but there was still no sign of the warriors.
"I don't think it is over, Bella," Audrey told me as she stroked Amber's hair while she was fast asleep on her mother's lap. I can see that Amber was stressed as well because none of the men had mind-linked us yet.
"No!" I heard the piercing wail of a woman in the corridor, which made me abruptly get up from my chair and run out of the hospital. As we reached the main hallway, I saw the warriors bringing in the injured using the stretchers.
Some men had lost their limbs while all of them were covered in blood. I looked ahead to see a woman running alongside a stretcher as they wheeled a warrior into the operating room.
