Harry broke the silence, his voice barely above a whisper. "Galaxies... That's insane. And people have actually used them for that?"
Max nodded solemnly. "Yes, but those who tried often faced consequences far worse than they imagined. The Infinity Stones are not just tools; they are tied to the fabric of existence itself. Misusing them can destabilize everything—or draw the attention of entities even more powerful than the Stones."
Lumia crossed her arms, frowning. "Entities more powerful than the Stones? Like what?"
Max's expression darkened slightly. "Cosmic beings, overseers of the universe. They don't take kindly to mortals tampering with forces they consider sacred. Think of them as universal enforcers. You wouldn't want their attention, trust me."
Gwen spoke up next, her voice cautious. "So, what's the plan then? We have two of these Stones already. Are we just... collecting them?"
Max leaned against a nearby wall, his arms crossed. "Not exactly. While the Stones hold great power, they're also a great responsibility. For now, they stay with me. I'll train you all to grow stronger on your own. You don't need the Stones to be powerful; your abilities are already evolving beyond what I expected."
Flash smirked. "Yeah, but imagine what we could do if we had all of them."
Max shot him a sharp look. "Imagine what could happen if even one of you lost control. The power of a single Stone could destroy a planet. Imagine the destruction six could cause in the wrong hands—or even in the right ones, with a single misstep."
Flash gulped and looked away. "Yeah, okay, I get it."
MJ rubbed her temples. "So, what do we do? Just sit around and hope no one else comes after them?"
Max shook his head. "No. We prepare. There are others out there who would kill to get their hands on these Stones. It's only a matter of time before they come for us—or worse, before we stumble onto something bigger than the Stones themselves."
Peter stepped forward, determination in his eyes. "Then we get stronger. If anyone comes for us, they'll regret it."
Max smiled faintly. "Exactly. But remember, strength alone isn't enough. Wisdom, control, and teamwork are what will keep us alive." He turned toward the group. "Now, let's get to work."
Hearing him others left as Lumia come to him " Your speech was great" she said as Max looked at her " was it?" he asked.
"it was" Lumia said as she looked at him " So, what are you going to do now?" She asked as he replied " train like others" he said as she nodded.
" I am going then too" She said and left as Max nodded.
"Do you want something?" Max looked back, spotting Rize leaning against the doorway.
"You know what I want," she replied, licking her lips.
Max chuckled softly. "Well, I could use some tension relief too," he admitted.
Rize nodded knowingly, and the two headed toward the bedroom. The atmosphere quickly shifted, and the night unfolded with passion as both indulged in their desires.
The next morning, Max woke up feeling both exhausted and relaxed. As he glanced to his side, he saw Rize still asleep, her bare form resting peacefully. On his other side lay Gwen, equally bare and seemingly content.
The memory of last night came rushing back. Gwen had walked in, intending to talk to him, only to find him with Rize. Instead of leaving, she had silently accepted the situation and joined them. She had grown to accept Rize's presence in Max's life, especially after learning the true extent of his nature. Knowing Max was essentially immortal—and that Rize was, too—Gwen realized her jealousy was futile. Instead, she had chosen to embrace the unconventional relationship.
Max slipped out of bed quietly, careful not to disturb them. After freshening up, he prepared a quick breakfast and headed to his study. Sitting at his desk, he opened his system interface and began scrolling through his tasks.
"I have collected a lot of UP," Max muttered, glancing at the balance of Universal Points displayed on his system interface.
[UP: 119,052]
Despite having access to so much power, he had almost forgotten about his system. These days, he primarily used it to gather information rather than explore its other functions.
"Hmm, should I do some draws?" he mumbled, his gaze shifting to the Lucky Draw icon glowing faintly on the screen.
[Do you want to draw?] the system prompted.
Max nodded. "Give me ten Tier VI draws," he commanded confidently. The Gacha machine began to spin.
[The different Tiers are as follows:]
Tier 0: Unawakened
Tier I: Island Ruler level
Tier II: Continent Ruler level
Tier III: Planetary Ruler level
Tier IV: Solar System Ruler level
Tier V: Galaxy Ruler level
Tier VI: Universal Ruler level
[Each Tier is also divided into Lower, Middle, Upper and Peak]
And the Tier VI draw, which Max remembered costing 500 UP, which means its 5,000 UP for ten draws.
[Host, Tier VI draws now cost 10,000 UP each.]
Just as Max was thinking this over, his system interrupted, stopping him mid-action.
"Wait! I remember Tier VI was only 500 UP per draw. How is it now 10,000 UP?" he asked, his voice sharp with disbelief. His eyes darted to the balance, and his expression turned pale as he noticed 100,000 UP had already been deducted.
[Host, at the time you accessed Tier VI draws, you were in Tutorial Mode. A significant discount was applied. Now that the host has grown and no longer requires such assistance, the standard cost applies.]
Max stared at the system's message, his eyes narrowing in anger. "You've should have that before eating my UP!" he exclaimed, feeling a mixture of frustration and regret.
The system responded matter-of-factly: [Host should have asked before engaging in gacha.]
Hearing this, Max let out an exasperated sigh and slumped into his seat. "Fine. Just show me what I got already," he grumbled, rubbing his temples to stave off the growing headache.
