Ch 11

It's hard not to like the dryness and warmth of clothes that have been dried in the sun. Ji Fanling immediately ran to the bedroom and changed into it.

Fu Yingcheng stayed in the study in the afternoon, occasionally going to the kitchen to get a glass of water and glancing at her.

Ji Fanling was watching TV series on the sofa in the living room, waiting for Zhou Sui's reply.

She didn't know what Zhou Sui was busy with, so she waited until evening before Fu Yingcheng interrupted her work and called her over to see the messages she had just received on Zhou Sui's Q`Q.

Fu Yingcheng sent her a message at six o'clock in the morning:

[Classmate Zhou, excuse me, I need to contact you for something urgent. Where are you now? ]

  Zhou Sui: [? ]

Zhou Sui: [Are you Fu Yingcheng himself? ]

After a while, Zhou Sui replied: [I am now in the Pediatric Department of the People's Hospital. What do you want from me? ]

"Thank you, I'll go now!" Ji Fanling glanced at the news, turned around and ran away.

Fu Yingcheng followed her, reached for the coat on the hanger, and took the car keys: "Do you know where the hospital is?"

  "Yes, it's not far."

Ji Fanling quickly put on her shoes: "I'll take the bus there. It'll be very soon. Come back soon."

After she finished speaking, she hesitated, scratched her face, and said slowly, "It's possible that she won't come back."

It would be better if she could stay at Zhou Sui's house.

Fu Yingcheng stared at her for a while, with a confused look on his face and said, "Okay."

  ...

"If she doesn't come back, let her tell me."

  Department of Pediatrics, People's Hospital.

It's the autumn and winter influenza season, and even though it's dark, the pediatric department is still crowded with parents with scorched faces and children crying or fussing in their arms.

Ji Fanling was crowded in the crowd of patients, most of whom were wearing masks, which made it more difficult for her to find someone.

After walking back and forth, Ji Fanling accidentally noticed a woman next to the automatic payment machine.

The woman was wearing a white cotton-padded jacket with a slightly bloated upper body. She was taking off her mask and looked up at the camera. After a moment, she put her mask back on, took out the receipt, and turned around.

The moment before she put on the mask, Ji Fanling caught a glimpse of the woman frowning and biting her lip with her front teeth.

...just like the expression he would show when he couldn't figure out the question.

Ji Fanling's heart moved: "Zhou Sui!"

The woman raised her head and looked around, but couldn't find who was calling her.

The next second, a girl squeezed out of the crowd and ran towards her direction.

Zhou Sui was obviously stunned for a moment, staring at her face, which gradually overlapped with the one in his memory. His face instantly turned pale, and he took three steps back: "You, you, you!"

  "It's me, Ji Fanling."

  "Huh? Ah? " Huh ?

" , raised his eyebrows and asked her, "Does it hurt?"

"Ouch...it hurts." Zhou Sui said honestly.

"It just hurts. It proves that you are not dreaming." The girl said with a stern face.

  "..."

"Then, what," Zhou Sui stammered, "Does it hurt if a ghost pinches a person?"

Ji Fanling said slowly: "I don't know if it hurts if a ghost pinches a person, but... ..." She suddenly spoke faster, "It must hurt when a ghost bites someone!"

After saying that, she grabbed Zhou Sui's arm and bit her fiercely.

Zhou Sui, who was already nervous, was so frightened by her that she immediately threw her arms and screamed, attracting the attention of people nearby.

Of course Ji Fanling didn't really bite. He raised his head and couldn't help but sneer: "Look at your potential." He thought he was getting more courageous.

Zhou Sui was in shock, her chest heaving, and she saw the girl wearing an old, ill-fitting coat, standing there with one hand in her pocket, smiling at her, revealing a small pointed tiger tooth, and for some reason he also laughed with her.

 ...

I felt like I was being stupid just now. Zhou Sui moved back, carefully stretched out his hand, touched the back of the girl's hand, and called softly: "Ji Fanling?" The girl snorted from her nose.

Zhou Sui looked at the young face of her former friend and felt a sudden sadness in her heart: "You, what happened to you?"

"I was hit by a car, and I'm here now as soon as I opened my eyes. Ji Guoliang ran away, and Cheng Jiali couldn't contact you. The most powerful——"

The girl looked at her with a half-smile.

"Call me a fraud and call the police."

 Zhou Sui: "..."

Zhou Sui said humbly: "Is it really you yesterday?"

"Yeah." Ji Fanling didn't care, "Why are you in pediatrics?"

"My child I have a fever."

Ji Fanling was stunned: "You have a baby?"

"My son is three years old. His name is He Han."

Ji Fanling: "Is he already three years old?"

"What a brain!" He slapped his forehead and said, "Hanhan's medicine!"

It was very subtle. It was obviously the same person, as if the girl whose eyebrows and expressions were full of shadows of the past suddenly turned into a strange and anxious mother the moment she mentioned the child.

Zhou Sui was still a little timid at first, but now she was suddenly not afraid of anything.

She reached out and patted Ji Fanling's shoulder: "Wait for me for a while. I have to get him medicine. After a while, the water will be finished and I will take the temperature again."

Although her eyes were still looking at her, her mind was no longer there.

 Ji Fanling urged: "Go quickly."

Zhou Sui hurriedly walked to the pharmacy. Halfway there, his footsteps suddenly stopped and he turned his head to look in the other direction: "Mom?! Why are you running around with Hanhan?"

Yingying The old man walking with Zhou Sui held the boy wearing a mask in his arms and walked slowly: "If you don't come back for a long time, Hanhan is clamoring for you..." "The seat you finally got was occupied by someone else as soon as you left. Went..."

Zhou Sui reached out to take the child, and found that the infusion bag was deflated, and a small amount of blood returned to the bottom of the infusion tube.

She was so anxious that she shouted to her mother-in-law, "I'll let you look at it, the blood has returned. Oops!"
