Her face was calm and reassuring.

Stacya woke up in a white room with several large black spots scattered everywhere. But that wasn't her main focus.

Stacy instinctively flinched and jumped away from wherever that sound came from.

Onto to finally get a lay of the land and witness some familiar faces.

C'mon Zack! You've tried punching the wall like a hundred times now. Give it a rest!" The frail looking tall girl wearing large pink glasses and a green hoodie with pink shorts said to her boyfriend.

Well excuse me for trying something instead of sitting on my ass waiting for something horrible to happen." Her boyfriend, wearing a singlet and black jeans said. The hoodie must have been his . He must have given it to her because he thought he felt cold.

That's Zack for you.

The other girl must be his girlfriend Paulina. Zack told Stacya endless stories of his girlfriend. She was a scientist for a major tech company she couldnt quite remember even if she tried. She was an optimist who always tried to look at the bright side of things but can be overprotective of things involving Zack's safety.

She also knew she wasnt in support of Zack super escapades. That was to be expected since Zack was a muman while she was only human.

Little did Stacya know Paulina was neither human nor muman.

Paulina was something esle entirely.

After a few more quick glances that Stacya realised that Zack never mentioned she was so..

Hey... what did we say about talking about my.."you know what"?" Paulina said nudging Zack by the shoulder and looking at Stacya.

Oh Stacya! You're awake! I didn't notice!" Zack said, completely ignoring Paulina and running to Stacya's side causing her to grimace.

Now that you're awake then you can tell us if this is all part of Hawk knight's plan to rescue us!" Zack said which got Stacya to look at the white floor in disappointment.

I'm afraid Hawk Knight may be dead friend Zack." Stacya said still looking down.

Y..yes. Mr E attacked the Nest and defeated him. I managed to escape and get to Jake to come rescue him but we were captured as well.

I didn't even know you were captured as well."

Then it means he was targeting us as a group."

Why would he target us? The only ones he has ever encountered were Hawk Knight and the Danger Squad. And they are dead." Stacya said which got an unexpected wince from Paulina. Stacya saw this but payed it no mind.

Or maybe he saw us as a new threat. A new Danger Squad."

But we've only been on one public mission. Why would he.."

Maybe you stopped a robbery he organised?" Paulina chimed in chasing Zack and Stacya to look at her with certainty in their eyes.

But that begs the question, what did he want to steal? I remember that was the van carrying whatever was stolen came from a Miltron labs shipment. Gemstone.. do you know what was in that shipment?"

Why would she know what.. Wait! You work for Miltron labs Paulina?!" Stacya said with sjock in her voice.

Y..yeah, im only like, an assistant of one of his assistants though so I have no idea what he had shipped in or where he shippedit from." Paulina said, disappointed in herself.

Dont worry my sweet stalactite. At least we know what why he kidnapped us. Now we need to figure out how to get the hell out of here." Zack said, trying to reassure her by placing his arm around her. Stacya looked at them in childish curiosity.

So these are what human displays of affection look like. That may explain why he never refers to her by her name but that didnt explain why he didnt use foods or pet names likd she had seen in human novels she read in her youth. Why use geodes?" Stacya thought to herself.

Suddenly the room went completely dark. The black spits spread throughout the room suddenly grew green. Just when the trio tried to figure out what was going on they heard a creaking sound of a door.

A chilling voice rung out to them soon after.

Ditto! You hit the ball right on the park you three! But there are some things you didn't notice."

Stacya instintively jumped into the ground to swim towards the source of the voice which was clearly Mr E's. She landed on her face however, and now It seemed she was unable to swim across this floor in particular.

Friend Zack! I can't swim here for some reason! " Stacya shouted to him.

No need." Zack said as he started e panding his fists length.

Zack noticed where Stacya's movement was directed and aimed his expanded fist in Mr E's direction.

The hit connected, causing him to crack into hundreds of tiny pieces like he was an egg. Once Zack pulled his fist back and reduced it to its normal length, he heard another voice.

A much smaller one.

Whoa! No need for violence just yet. Trust me, it is sure to come soon! But I'll have to hand it to you for figuring out why you're here. Except you're a little out of the loop."

Get to the point asshole! Why are we here?" Paulina shouted with so much intense fury in her voice it shocked Stacya even more than the first time.

How could a mere human threaten someone like Mr E?

Oh I like this one! She seems... familiar." He said which caused Paulina to flinch a little. It was enough for Stacya to notice though and this time, she did pay it some mind.

Who was this girl?" She thought.

I got the Flathead gang to get a couple of men to steal an important piece of tech from a Miltron labs shipment for my plans. To be sure they'd succed I gave them a sample of my experimental mutoxin. I didn't expect some supers to interfere however. I didn't really care about it, since I sent my lackey to take the tech just in case the two imbeciles failed, but then I noticed Hawk knight's jet flying over the scene and I had to assume the worst. Especially with Captain Rocket dead and all."

Stacya immediately charged toward where the voice was coming from used the green lights of the currentlygreen spots to find him. After a quick visual sweep of the area, she found him and squashed him like a bug with her scaly Atlantean fist.

Only for him to keep talking while being smeared all over her hand.

Oh! Pressed a button. Goes to show no matter how much you mutate, you'll always be human on the inside. Soon that will change though.

Soon" He said as he dripped of her hand in the form of a slimy goo onto the floor and reform quickly after.

Shut up you lowly feces!" Stacya shouted in rage as she lifted her left leg to step on him.

Little did she know his pieces from when he cracked like an egg began to rise of the ground the fly toward her at neck breaking speed.

Stacya look out!" Paulina shouted but it was too late as the pieces drew closer and closer.

Zack however, saw the pieces in time and expanded his arm to grab Stacya and manages to pull her out of hairs way just before they got to skewer her to the wall.

The pieces flew out of thd wall however, and Mr E reformed to his original shape in the blink of an eye.

Such blind rage over losing a loved one. How idiotic." Mr E said which caused to Stacya to lunge ate him again.

She would have been successful in missing again, if Zack still didn't have a hold of her.

Let me go friend! I must let him pay for insulting my master!" Stacya said, trying to break free of Zack's incredible grip.

He was my master two Stacya! But he never taught us to just jump blindly into a fight we all know we'd lose. Now cmon, don't lose your cool." Zack assured her.

Oh! You two are some of his proteges! So the rumors were true. He was assembling a new Danger Squad from new recruit supers he kept secret from the government after the first one was massacred. Although I'm not surprised since it's Captain Rocket after all."

Stacya tried to struggle but Zack's grip was too much for her.

Now, where was I? Ah yes! After you interrupted my robbery, I knew a new threat to my plans was imminent so I used my incredible nose and cloning abilities to track you down. And as a plus my lackey even got my tech. I did encounter a kittle problem though. The Flathead gang were pretty pissed at the outcome of the robbery and the growing influence of my mutoxin in the criminalunderworld. They did try to threaten me but right now that matter is taken care of."

What did you do to them?" Pauljna said even more enraged than she already was.

Oh, let's just say I have an army of monsters just in case things go sough." Mr E said with a chuckle which suddenly turned into a terrifying hysterical laugh.

The trio looked at him in horror at the realisation of their current situation. They were captured with no one even knowing where they were and the Super Society unaware of this lunatics sinister plans.

In short, they were fucked.
