Cora's POV
I stirred awake to the hum of the car engine, my head pounding and my body aching all over. My eyelids fluttered open, and I saw Axel's tense figure beside me, his knuckles white as he gripped the steering wheel. His jaw was tight, and his eyes darted toward me briefly before fixing back on the road.
"Where are we going?" I asked weakly, my voice hoarse. I could barely lift my head as the memories of wall climbing rushed back—then everything went dark.
"You're awake," he said sharply, his voice low but angry. "Do you have any idea how reckless you were?"
I flinched at his tone. "I'm sorry… Are we going home?"
"No," he snapped. "We're going to the hospital."
"I'm fine now. Let's just go home," I protested, trying to sit up straighter despite the ache in my chest.
"You still look pale. You're going to get checked, whether you like it or not," he said, his voice firm.
