Chapter 3:Language

On the beautiful night, the wind swayed his hair as he walked slowly. Asmodeus has been walking for more than 3 hours.

He has some hope of reaching to any civilization, that's why he didn't falter his steps.

He has made a mistake in his judgment; he forgot that he was not in his soul form, and he continued to walk.

After some time a voice came from his stomach, "growl."

He was hungry and thirsty; he forgot that he had a body now. So, for his survival, he set up a camp in the forest.

The night was brimming with moonlight, the forest was silent in the night. No birds were chirping, and animals were jumping and running; there was only darkness and silence.

Asmodeus was happy; he liked this type of environment; as his hunger increased, he began to analyze his surroundings.

There he saw only trees and some herbs, rooted on the ground.

After searching for 5 minutes he didn't find anything. So he focused on his senses and began to listen to the waves of air, the voice of water flowing.

There he found a water source, near him. He started walking towards the water source. There he saw a river.

He began to see in the river, searching for fish to eat, but fate played with him.

Even after diving into the river, he didn't find anything, so he returned to the ground. Now, he has to survive with water only.

After drinking water, he began to walk again in the same direction, that he was going before feeling hungry.

He began to run straight in that direction. After sprinting for 25 minutes, he found some buildings that were identical to the ones his sub-consciousness had captured.

There, he found some of the same situations in the forest. Everything was silent, even the roads were empty. Not even a shop was open.

As he walked for some time, he saw a building that had some light.

Seeing the bright buildings that were like ancient Chinese or Japanese buildings. He approached it.

Seeing the door closed, and a sign hanging outside the door. He thought of knocking on the door.

"Knock...Knock."

After waiting for some time, he knocked on the door once more.

His persistent knocking on the door has waked up the master of the inn. Of course, he didn't know that it was an inn.

He thought it was someone's house. And he will get help being lost here in an unknown town.

Nonetheless, he has the confidence to handle any situation.

"Crack"

As the door opened, a middle-aged lady was standing in front of him. The lady came outside and began to scan the boy standing in front of her.

Seeing the peculiar type of clothes he was wearing, she became wary of him. After some silence, the lady spoke.

"Who are you? What are you doing here in the night."

Listening to the unknown language, Asmodeus sighed. He didn't think that there would be a language barrier between the residents of this world and him.

Nonetheless, he tried to act innocent and stretched his hand towards the direction he came.

Seeing the boy standing there, without speaking anything. The middle-aged lady became more wary of him.

But when she saw the boy's hand gesture, she understood that he was coming from the dark woods.

Seeing him standing in silence, she asked another question, "What are you doing here."

Listening to the question, Asmodeus had no idea what she was asking, so he thought of playing a memory loss card.

That's right he played his card and gestured his hands towards his brain, shaking it in a particular way of saying no.

Seeing her gesture she turned around and gestured him to come in, without saying anything.

She knew now that he couldn't understand her and had lost his memories. After walking behind her for some time, they climbed the stairs upward.

Going upwards, she gestured him towards a room in the corner; he bowed his head slightly and began to walk towards the room.

After seeing the lady go to the ground floor, he sighed and thought, 'What should I do about this language barrier? '

'They can't understand me, nor can I understand her. It seems that lady was kind.'

'Or else I would not be here now, I can understand her a little bit, but that's not enough. '

He lay on the bed, while thinking about the language, the lady was speaking. His talent was coming in handy.

After listening to her question, his mind registered it: if he got the opportunity to listen more, he could speak their language easily.

After some time, his room's door opened, and the lady came in with a tray in her hands.

She placed the trays on the table and said to him, "Where are you from, boy?"

Listening to her question, Asmodeous was only able to utter the word, "Far."

He didn't know more than that, he couldn't speak properly yet. But his talent and his mind were working tirelessly to Decode the language.

After some consoling, she left the room. After she left, Asmodeus started to eat, feeling the energy replenishment in his body; he was satisfied.

But he is not happy nor sad; from what he has studied, the system windows he can understand that this world is far from normal.

There was something related to realms. He decided to check the memories that were buried deep down in his brain.

Even before his talent upgrade, he was able to rewind all the memories that existed in his brain. It was the magic of being in a void for millennials.

He decided to check the parts of his teens, where he was partially enjoying his life.

He closed his eyes and began to replay the memories while lying on the bed.

He was grateful for the middle-aged lady; if she wasn't this kind and soft-hearted, he would be somewhere doing illegal things, like robbing a house or beating someone for money.

Nonetheless, he was doing his own work, and nature was doing her own.
