FINDING HER

LORENZO

I watched her walk out, my eyes narrowing as I turned my attention to Francesca. "Why did you come here?" I demanded, my voice low and even.

Francesca opened her mouth to speak, but I slammed my hands on the table, making her jump back. Little Leo, my...nephew, looked up at me with wide eyes, scared for the first time.

I squatted down to his level, my eyes locked on his. "Why did you disrespect Isabella?" I asked, my voice firm but controlled.

Leo looked up at me, his eyes welling up with tears. "D-dad is terrifying," he stuttered.

Francesca quickly intervened, saving Leo from my wrath. "Lorenzo, please, don't scare him," she pleaded.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. But it was too late. My anger had already boiled over. I stood up, my eyes flashing with fury.

"Take him away," I barked at my men, who quickly swooped in and whisked Leo away.
