Naruto's Side
A flash of white light appeared, and Sasuke and Boruto were gone!
System Prompts:
Change the setting of Nine Tails, an important character in the parallel world, to earn 100,000 Honkai points.
Change the trajectory set by Uzumaki Naruto in the parallel world to earn 50,000 Honkai points.
Change the trajectory set by Uchiha Sasuke in the parallel world to earn 50,000 Honkai points.
Change the trajectory set by Uzumaki Boruto in the parallel world to earn 30,000 Honkai points.
Naruto smiled when he heard the prompts.
Since Boruto's story is essentially tied to Naruto's legacy, he decided to add a few extra "charging treasures" for them.
As for earning Honkai points by splitting the Nine Tails again, Naruto didn't care too much.
"Is this time travel? Naruto, can I do something with you? I'd like to go back and change Obito's fate," Kakashi suddenly said, turning to Naruto with a serious expression.
Obito's death and transformation were events Kakashi could never fully let go of. With this opportunity, Kakashi naturally wanted to try making things right.
"I don't have a problem with that, but are you sure about meddling with his fate? Aren't you worried that Obito might kill you and your wife in another world because of his love for her? Or are you planning to give up your teacher's wife to Obito so they can live happily in that world?" Naruto asked playfully, grinning at Kakashi.
Kakashi froze, stunned by Naruto's words.
Initially, this was one of the reasons why Kakashi accepted Rin's love, but what Obito did, along with the act of killing Rin, left Kakashi feeling conflicted.
"Alright, that's enough, Kakashi! Don't think too much about it. Focus on preparing for your wedding instead," Jiraiya said, patting Kakashi's shoulder and interrupting his thoughts.
Kakashi's body trembled slightly at Jiraiya's words, but he nodded in silent agreement.
Meanwhile...
Uchiha Itachi, walking out of the Uchiha compound, bumped into Sako as she was heading home.
This time, when the siblings met, they exchanged a glance but said nothing, silently passing by each other like familiar strangers.
"In the future, don't come back unless you have something important to say!"
Just as Itachi was about to disappear around the corner, Sako's low voice reached his ears.
Itachi paused mid-step. For the first time, a subtle change appeared on his usually stoic face. He gave a barely audible hum of acknowledgment.
Her words were clear: "Don't come back if it's nothing important."
But the hidden meaning was obvious: "You can come back if it's something important."
Itachi felt a sense of satisfaction. Borrowing the faint moonlight, he walked out of Konoha with an uncharacteristic ease.
Suddenly, Itachi's steps halted. His scarlet eyes fixated on a figure standing ahead.
A girl with scarlet Three Tomoe Sharingan was staring at him, her expression filled with anger.
"Uchiha Itachi..."
"Izumi... long time no see," Itachi said softly, removing his hat and looking at her with a mix of emotions.
When Uchiha Izumi realized it was indeed Itachi, she froze for a moment. Then, the tomoe in her eyes spun wildly.
"Why? Why did you lie to me back then? Why didn't you take me with you?"
Tears streamed down Izumi's cheeks as she stared at Itachi, her emotions out of control.
Back then, Itachi had used genjutsu to show her a false future. Afterward, she had been killed.
Whether it was Itachi himself who killed her, she didn't know. But that no longer mattered now.
"I'm sorry. At that time, you didn't have any value for me to take with me," Itachi replied, suppressing the emotions stirring in his heart. His voice was low and cold.
"Value?"
Izumi laughed bitterly at his words, her laughter tinged with despair.
"Am I just a measure of value to you? I have just one question—was the illusion you cast on me a form of charity, or..."
Tears streaked down her face as she looked at Itachi, nervously awaiting his answer.
"I'm sorry..."
Uchiha Itachi looked at the tear-streaked face of the girl standing before him. Her sorrow was palpable, and though he felt a pang of sadness in his heart, he suppressed his emotions and spoke coldly.
Though he now stood as a leader within the Akatsuki and the Uchiha clan had been resurrected, a deep sense of shame lingered in Itachi's heart. He couldn't bring himself to face Uchiha Izumi with honesty or peace of mind.
Perhaps, solitude until his old age was the proper penance for his sins.
"Sorry?
Izumi's lips trembled as she forced out a bitter laugh.
"Hahaha... I understand. Itachi, I don't need your pity. From now on, we're strangers. I'm not your opponent, so go ahead... just leave."
Her voice broke as her pupils shrank, tears pouring from her eyes like a flood that could no longer be contained.
For a moment, a flicker of pain crossed Itachi's face. But with immense resolve, he walked past Izumi without a word, unwilling to confront the sorrow he had caused.
He knew he didn't kill her directly—that had been Uchiha Obito's doing. Yet, guilt weighed heavily on him.
As their paths diverged, Izumi remained rooted in place, her face streaked with tears. Itachi, too, felt silent tears slide down his own cheeks.
What Itachi failed to notice, however, was the transformation taking place within Izumi. As he passed her, her scarlet eyes filled with blood and tears. The three tomoe of her Sharingan spun rapidly, linking together to form the ominous pattern of the Mangekyō Sharingan.
The emotional turmoil of their encounter had awakened Izumi's latent power.
Unaware of what had just happened, Izumi stood frozen, her expression blank and her mind in disarray.
Minutes Later
"Mangekyō Sharingan! Looks like the Uchiha clan has another crazy genius... or maybe just another crazy person?"
Naruto strolled back toward the village when he spotted Izumi standing there with blood-streaked eyes and an empty gaze.
"Do you think I'm beautiful? If I confessed to you, would you accept me?"
Izumi's voice was strangely detached as she addressed Naruto, seemingly lost in her own world.
Naruto scratched his head, bewildered by her sudden question.
"Beautiful? Well, um, with all that blood and tears on your face, I can't really tell. If you're hoping for a romantic confession, this isn't exactly the best look for it," Naruto replied, half-joking to ease the tension.
Izumi tilted her head, as if contemplating his words.
"Then how do I fix it?" she asked in an oddly curious tone.
Naruto blinked, then offered a half-hearted suggestion. "Well... maybe start with a shower?"
Izumi's eyes seemed to light up at the idea. "Alright. There's a mixed hot spring nearby. Let's go!"
Before Naruto could protest, Izumi grabbed his arm and began pulling him along.
Ten Minutes Later
The two found themselves at the mixed hot spring, the steam rising around them. After washing away the blood and grime, Naruto finally recognized Izumi.
Piecing things together, he recalled encountering Itachi earlier on his way home. The connection became clear: Izumi had been emotionally shaken, likely due to her encounter with Itachi.
Naruto sighed to himself. "The Uchiha clan and their emotions... no wonder the Second Hokage said Mangekyō Sharingan users often lose their grip on reality."
Still, Naruto couldn't deny Izumi's allure. "Well," he thought to himself with a sly grin, "they say the best way to get over someone is to start something new. And when life offers you an opportunity like this, who am I to refuse?"
As the night wore on, Naruto couldn't help but appreciate the situation. "Izumi smells great..." he thought, letting himself enjoy the moment.
