Leon, a 23-year-old man, experiences intense pain in his side after a night of drinking and passes out on his bed. When he wakes, he finds himself in a strange medieval room, lying in a pool of dried blood with a healed stab wound on his side. The room is unfamiliar, adorned with swords and antique furniture, and Leon discovers a mysterious book written in a language he can inexplicably understand. The text in the book hints at "the truth" and suggests he may have killed himself in this world. Leon realizes that he’s somehow in another body, possibly that of a man named Alaric Thornwood.
