The sudden disruption of the live broadcast signal caused viewers to collectively shout, "Fake!"
Antonia Aguilar frowned as she turned to Gloria. "Looks like we were right. That shady live broadcast platform is definitely going to get shut down."
"Don't you know anything about hacking?" Gloria asked, raising an eyebrow. "Maybe you could sneak into their backend system."
Antonia shot her an annoyed look. "You make it sound so easy. Do you even realize how hard that would be? If I could pull it off, I'd be a top-notch journalist by now."
She suddenly patted Gloria's arm, her expression brightening. "But I do have an idea. Want to give it a shot?"

Meanwhile, Craven and his team, who were deep in the state park, remained unaware that the live broadcast had been cut off.
Craven gritted his teeth, clutching his arm, which had been burned by a substance as corrosive as strong acid. His face contorted in pain as he struggled to stay silent.
"Damn it," he muttered under his breath, glancing toward the ongoing battle.
The alien "Queen" fought with calculated precision, employing feints to distract the werewolf. Her claws tore through the werewolf's arm, sending blood splattering across the forest floor.
The werewolf let out a pained howl, swinging his other arm toward the Queen's neck in retaliation. But the alien dodged skillfully, her black claws reaching for the werewolf's head.
Her claws, stronger than steel, could crush the werewolf's skull with ease.
The werewolf, enraged and desperate, grabbed the alien's body and slammed her into the ground. Both fell in a heap, but the alien recovered quickly, her acidic blood dripping onto the werewolf and eliciting another agonized scream.
The werewolf's cries echoed through the dense forest as he clutched his corroding skin. The Queen seized the opportunity, aiming her claws for his chest.
Though the werewolf resisted fiercely, it was in vain. The Queen's tail spine extended with a deadly thrust, piercing his chest. Blood gushed from the wound as the werewolf collapsed, his towering figure rendered powerless.

Fletcher and Gina, having watched the battle unfold from the Qian En Cinema, had left the theater and were now racing toward the state park in Fletcher's sports car.
"I don't get it," Gina said, puzzled. "Why aren't we just flying there?"
Both vampires had the ability to fly and could easily reach the scene faster by spreading their wings.
Fletcher, wearing his signature sunglasses despite the rainy night, replied, "It's not time for us to make a flashy entrance yet. Flying around like some half-dressed vampire princess isn't exactly our style."
Gina sighed but nodded in agreement. "Do you think Jack will survive this?"
The Jack in question was Jack Russell, a werewolf known for his incredible strength and resilience.
"Normally, no creature could take him down," Fletcher replied with confidence. "He's not just a regular werewolf—he's been enhanced with vampire genetics. Speed, strength, healing—he's got it all. But that alien… it's something else entirely."
Gina frowned. "Jack doesn't know what he's up against. That could cost him."
Fletcher remained silent for a moment before finally saying, "Jack Russell isn't easy to kill."
Jack's power stemmed from a curse placed on his family generations ago. Most of the time, he lived as an ordinary man. But during a full moon, his werewolf nature emerged, and he often struggled to control himself.
In his transformed state, Jack possessed extraordinary strength, speed, and agility, alongside heightened senses and regenerative abilities. His claws and teeth were as deadly as any weapon.
"But even with all that power," Fletcher said, breaking the silence, "Jack has his weaknesses."
"What weaknesses?" Gina asked, her curiosity piqued.
"Silver," Fletcher replied flatly. "It's a common vulnerability in most werewolf lore, and Jack is no exception. If he's wounded by silver, it takes him much longer to recover. A silver bullet to the heart would kill him in minutes."
"Why doesn't silver affect you?" Gina asked suspiciously.
Fletcher smirked. "Maybe I'm not a supernatural creature. Or maybe I'm from another planet, like that Vampire Princess."
Gina rolled her eyes. She had grown used to Fletcher's sarcasm but still found it frustrating.
Fletcher's tone turned serious. "Jack has another weakness—one even more dangerous than silver."
"What is it?"
"When he transforms, his reason gives way to madness. If his opponent is highly intelligent, Jack could easily be outmaneuvered."
Gina shivered at the memory of the alien Queen's calculated attacks. The way it fought suggested intelligence on par with humans, making it all the more terrifying.

Elsewhere, Antonia and Gloria sped toward the state park in Antonia's borrowed car.
"I must be crazy for going along with this," Gloria muttered.
"Relax," Antonia said, keeping her eyes on the road. "I'm taking the bigger risk here. If my dad finds out I took his car to chase after werewolves, I'll be grounded for life."
Gloria frowned. "We're not going anywhere near the danger zone, right? We'll stay where it's safe, near the police. If they don't show up, we're leaving. Deal?"
"Deal," Antonia replied. She glanced at her laptop on the passenger seat. "You won't believe what I just found."
"What is it?"
"The origin of werewolves," Antonia said with a grin.
Gloria rolled her eyes. "That's old news, Antonia."
"Not this version. Trust me, it's worth hearing…"
