"Compared to this situation, I care more about the guy in front of me."

The Blade Warrior unsheathed his sword and looked warily at Peter and the ferocious creature nearby.

Though they'd crossed paths before, Blade didn't consider Peter trustworthy. Superheroes like Spider-Woman swung around the city to save lives, but the Spider-Man in front of him seemed different—more dangerous.

His wariness grew at the sight of the black, terrifying creature obeying Peter so easily. He wondered if the face behind Spider-Man's mask matched the creature that had killed the werewolf.

"Also, I heard you killed Dracula," Blade remarked, glancing at the vampire woman nearby. "He wasn't an easy opponent."

This comment acknowledged the vampire woman's strength, given that Dracula had been one of Blade's long-time targets.

"That wasn't easy," the Vampire Queen said, clenching her fists. "All I do is hunt dark creatures."

"I've faced this type of creature before. Taking it down again is nothing new," she added.

Peter sighed as he watched their heated exchange. "Are you two treating me like a bystander?"

He gestured at the alien "Queen," who immediately retreated to his side, still eyeing Blade and the Vampire Queen warily.

Helen stood silently but looked displeased. The alien had been born from her, and she wasn't about to stand idly by.

Blade raised his silver sword and addressed Peter. "Are you a vampire, Spider-Man?"

Peter frowned. "Vampire? Of course not. Why do you ask?"

"Because only vampires are natural foes of werewolves," Blade replied. "And if you're not one, then where did that 'pet' of yours come from?"

"But no matter," Blade added, eyes narrowing. "I won't let a dangerous dark creature roam free."

The Vampire Queen, fixing Peter with a stern look, said, "I've fought this kind before. You can't control it. Its nature is cruelty and destruction. If these creatures overrun the Earth, they'll be worse than vampires."

Peter didn't seem fazed. "Miss Vampire Queen, trust me, I know far more about it than you do."

The faint sound of police sirens in the distance caught his attention.

"The police will be here soon. If you plan to fight, make it quick," Peter warned.

Helen extended her fingers, and the trees in the forest twisted and crept toward the Vampire Queen and Blade. On her home turf, Helen had complete control.

The Vampire Queen frowned at the encroaching plants and then at Helen, whose calm yet deadly aura hinted at powers she'd only seen from Dracula himself. Though she didn't fear the alien, Helen's presence, combined with Peter, gave her pause.

Blade hesitated as the sirens grew louder. He sheathed his sword, his gaze lingering on Peter.

"I hope we don't meet again under worse circumstances," he said. "But I will take the werewolf."

He pointed to the unconscious figure on the ground.

Peter shook his head. "That 'monster' you want to protect killed countless innocents. Yet you two, self-proclaimed hunters of dark creatures, ignore the real threat while picking fights elsewhere. Disappointing."

Mocking their supposed justice, Peter turned and walked away. The alien "Queen" followed, and Helen, though disappointed she couldn't fight the Vampire Queen, joined him.

The Vampire Queen glared after Peter. One day, I'll rip that mask off and expose his real face, she thought.

Blade broke the tense silence. "I know Jack Russell. He's no killer. Something's behind this, and I'll find out."

The Vampire Queen, gritting her teeth, replied, "Fine. But I'm keeping an eye on Spider-Man."

As they disappeared, a mysterious figure materialized in the shadows, watching intently.

"Spider-Man…" Fletcher murmured. "I thought you were alone. Seems I was wrong."

Meanwhile, elsewhere…

Liz staggered out of her car, which had skidded into a ditch during the rain. Dazed, she realized Gloria was still inside.

"Gloria!" Liz cried, panic rising as she saw her friend unconscious.

Just then, Spider-Woman (Gwen) arrived. Liz, seeing her savior, begged for help.

Gwen quickly rescued Gloria and flagged down a passing police car to take her to the hospital. Liz climbed into the car as well, glancing back at Spider-Woman.

She sounds just like Gwen, Liz thought. Could it be…?

Back at a bar…

"Why here?" Peter asked Helen as she sat beside him.

"Because you're less guarded in places like this," Helen replied with a sly smile.

Peter sighed. "What's this about?"

"You seem to have adjusted quickly to being the Queen's protector," Helen remarked, sipping her drink. "It's surprising, given you're still a high schooler."

Peter raised an eyebrow. "Are you flirting, Ms. Helen?"

Helen smirked. "Not at all. I gave up on bad boys a long time ago. Now, let's talk business."
