chapter 1 painful breakup

"Please don't leave me, please am begging you,Please don't leave me,please don't leave me,I love you very much ,Thelma ,remember all the promises we made to each other,please I need you very much now in my life."said Nelson with tears all over his face ,

My heart is scattered,I felt like dying seeing the boy I love so much been in so much pain and I couldn't do anything to save me infact am the reason for this pain,but I have to do this to save him and my grandmother,with the last courage in me I replied him with a straight Face,"I have told you to leave me alone,I am not interested in any relationship and I don't love you,I never do,I was only there for the money,since it's isn't coming again I quit",with that I push his hands holding onto my dress and ran out of the hospital.I couldn't stay there another minute,I might ruin everything and putting my grandmother life and my lover life in danger .

The doctors and nurses ran towards him to take him back to his ward,

"You aren't suppose to be in this mood remember your condition,you are not fine"said one of the nurses who came to take him to his ward.

Take him inside he need to have enough rest before the surgery can commence"replied the head nurse .

Just then a group of men on black suite walked in with a an exotic rich looking lady ,walked towards Nelson bent down and start cuddling him

"I have always told you this that girl is a bitch ,girls from low backgrounds are not to be trusted ,you see she have dumped you when you needed her most ,son don't worry you will be fine" turning to the nurses in charge of her son " please make sure nobody comes into his room again " she gave the nurses the command .

" yes ma,chorus all with fear written all over theirs faces ...

With that she walked out of the room along side her body guards ,getting to the hospital parking space she pick up her phone from her bag,dialed a number ,

"Let her go,it's is done"with that she ended the call placed the phone in her bag,turning to her pa,"arrange for me a meeting with the French investor by 4pm tomorrow "

Alright ma reply mrs Betty

I rush home and am glad mama was already at home ,mrs Kate kept her own side of the bargain's,on sighting me mama rush towards me to give me an encouraging hug because I sure need it now more than ever ,patting me lightly on my back,"is alright baby everything is going to be fine "she said with a sad tone, "we gat to leave Abuja as soon as possible our flight have been arranged to leave in the next one hour"

Disentangle from the hug,I look at mama and ask her if this is part of mrs Kate plane and she told me mrs Kate vow to kill us if we remain here in Abuja ,so she pleaded with her to help her arrange an emergency flight that would take us to her home town owerri.

I wasn't shock I know what mrs Kate is capable of doing ,even she could go as far as risking the life of her only son just to get ride of me ,

"But I have to pack my bags "I said to mama

"Don't bother dear,I have already pack your bag" she said "we gat to go now ,we don't have much time and I don't want her guards to come dragging us to the airport "

With that I pick up my bag that is already with mama,looking back at our home that we are been chase out from,hot tears came running down my cheek.we board a taxi and went straight to the airport,

Looking at the old woman who was sleeping calming by my side,a woman who had see a lot of pain in her life ,then I resolve to alway make her happy,

"Am sorry Nelson I have to do this to protect you and our baby,am sorry I couldn't get the chance to let you know you will be a father soon,I know you will be a great dad to our baby if nature can allow us to be a family's again,"patting my stomach which is till looking flat,

I have to prepare my mind for the journey ahead I now have my old grandmother and my baby to look after.
