I have been working for this company for one month ,I have received my first paycheck,I think is time I start looking for an apartment ,mark will soon be joining us and I wouldn't want to be a burden to Zoe,she had really tryed for me,accommodating me in this no man town Abuja,taking my phone I browsed out the list of housing agents and company,and booked a date for inspection of the apartments.

The day that was agreed for the inspection finally came ,it a Friday ,my company normally closes by 2pm so I had enough time to visit the apartment.

Still dressed in my office attired I called mama to wait for me by our estates junction cause I will just pick her up from there then we go see the apartment.

"Ma this is the cheapest 3 bedroom apartment that we have "answered angrily by the sales person of the property agent "if you can't afford it why come to this company,don't you know that we don't sell and rent property for poor people,looking at the way you and this old smelling woman you brought here are dressed,I really wasted my time attending to you "she hissed

"Shut up your gutter mouth I yelled at her,is this how you treat your customers here,do you know me before or are you insane "

Mama was already sieve-ring and pulling my hands for us to leave and check in another company ,I know mama will be surprised at my reaction,I am know to be this quite kind of girl ready to take any insult and walked away but not any more .

Turning to the cashier,"take this I want to pay for that apartment "

I brought out my card and gave it to the cashier ,i really wanted to buy the home for mama and my little man,so they could be comfortable

"Ma are you sure you want it "asked rudely

"I answers affirmatively,and she quickly typed in the amount and asked for my pin,mama was just looking at me she know I had use all my money to purchase the house .

And yes we didn't rent but I bought a 3 bedroom bungalow for mama and mark .

"Congratulations ma you have successfully bought a home from N&k enterprise "she said smiling

"Keep ur fake smile to yourself,you guys need to do a proper staff training on manners and attitude cause all of you sucks "I hissed and collected my card from her .

I walked mama outside of the building,waiting for a taxi to take us home,"

What was that for eh ,why empty Your account to buy us a home ,why,don't you know you are woman ,don't you think about him when you want to do some certain things ,you will get married soon and leave the house ,who are you impressing,"she fumed

I was quite ,I know I empty my account to buy her a home but I had always promised her to buy a home ,by the river side just the way my parents promise her ,I have fulfilled the wishes of my mother and for getting married am sure I don't want to get married again except if is him.

"Mama is alright,remember I can still work and save up more money for you and mark,I said looking at her like a spoilt child

She reply me with a smile and said is ok my dear I know you want to fulfill the wishes of your mother but not the the detriment of your future ,

Just then a taxi stop in front of us,we got in and told him our address,

And he drove off.

The weekend gradually came to an end so quick and is Monday again,I woke up early as usual my body had started getting used to it,I took my bath brush my teeth,put on a nice and comfortable office dress.

Went outside to have my breakfast,as usual Zoe was already there.,this time she had almost finished her meal.

I told zoe about me getting an apartment before she was kind of sad but later on she agreed,so on our way to the office I told her I have gotten an apartment,she was happy for me and said we will be hanging out later in the weeek to celebrate it

We arrived at my office as usual I said my goodbyes and walked into my office.I have made more friends here excluding David and Derrick and most staffs are now friendly with me. 

7 weeks of working here I haven't met the ceo thou David do talks about him often how he is cute and harsh ,alway getting angry easily .

I have alway avoided meeting with our manager ,miss precious,I don't want any of her troubles.

I was working on a design project ,when I felt the urge to visit the rest,

I haven't spend up to five seconds when I overheard mercy and favour gossiping .

"Hey have you heard"asked mercy,

"Heard what,you have come again with your dry gossip"answer favour

Mercy continue

"The ceo is getting married next month."she said

"Is miss Kate aware and who is this lucky lady "asked favour

"I heard is a family alliance something,rich marry the rich,am sure miss precious is aware because she have been sad snice today "she said

They continue their gossip and I listen quietly

I felt bad for miss precious after satisfying a man he later dumped you for another woman .I finished from the restroom and went back to work ,with so many things on my mind including my ceo marriage.
