Before the Dusclops could make its move, Sato had already used his system's scanning function to gather detailed information about the opponent.

What he discovered left him stunned.

This Dusclops was exceptionally powerful. Although Sato was confident he could defeat it one-on-one, doing so would likely turn the dungeon upside down.

------------------------------

The stats alone were enough to prove how formidable this Dusclops was. Sato couldn't fathom why Team Magma would leave such an incredible Pokémon here as a jailkeeper.

Was it possible this Dusclops had simply wandered in on its own?

There was no time to ponder further as the Dusclops attacked.

The Ghost Pokémon launched a Shadow Punch. Though the spectral fists seemed almost weightless, their speed was astounding. One moment they were far away, the next, they were upon him.

"Ditto, block it!" Sato commanded, his eyes flashing with determination as he addressed the Ditto masquerading as his face mask.

Just as the Shadow Punch was about to connect, Ditto shifted from its disguise into its original form, stretching its body to create a defensive wall in front of Sato.

Dusclops's red eyes gleamed with surprise. Its Shadow Punch struck Ditto's elastic form but was absorbed like a raindrop disappearing into the ocean, leaving no visible damage.

With Dusclops's attack neutralized, Sato's other Pokémon sprang into action.

Swampert, Golbat, and Mightyena launched a coordinated assault. Swampert, already in Foresight mode, led the charge with a freezing Ice Punch aimed directly at Dusclops.

To Sato's surprise, Dusclops reacted swiftly. Using Fire Punch, it met Swampert's Ice Punch head-on.

A resounding thud echoed as the two moves collided, sending a shockwave through the dungeon. Dusclops held its ground against Swampert's immense power, its bandaged form rippling but otherwise unyielding.

However, Dusclops didn't seem unscathed. Its crimson eyes flickered, betraying discomfort.

Instead of continuing the clash, it retreated several meters, its body convulsing with peculiar movements as if something was writhing beneath its bandages.

Meanwhile, Golbat and Mightyena unleashed Shadow Balls from different angles.

Just as the attacks were about to hit, two tiny spatial black holes appeared on Dusclops's surface, swallowing the Shadow Balls without a trace.

"Incredible! This Dusclops has already begun to harness its innate talent," Sato thought, his pupils narrowing. He was impressed yet wary.

The ability Dusclops displayed, Black Hole, was a rare talent described in the Grimoire of Dark Spirits

Every Dusclops possessed a black hole-like dimensional portal within its body, normally sealed by the mysterious bandages it wore. These bandages were both a seal and a safeguard, preventing the black hole from consuming the Dusclops itself.

Only a daring few Dusclops would attempt to control this dangerous power.

Those who succeeded became incredibly formidable, capable of feats like deflecting powerful attacks or absorbing enemies entirely.

Still, Sato remembered the weaknesses detailed in the Grimoire.

------------------------------

Weaknesses of Dusclops:

Eyes: Dusclops's eyes cannot utilize the Black Hole ability. They are its most vulnerable point. Striking them can inflict severe damage.

Focus: While using Black Hole, Dusclops must remain immobile and fully concentrated. During this time, it becomes an easy target.

------------------------------

These thoughts raced through Sato's mind as Dusclops formed a dark, basketball-sized sphere between its hands—a condensed black hole ready to obliterate them.

The sphere began exerting a terrifying gravitational pull. Swampert, Golbat, Mightyena, and even Sato found themselves inching toward the vortex.

"Hmph! If you're going to expose your weakness, I'll take advantage of it. Golbat, stabilize yourself and strike its eyes with Shadow Ball!"

With Swampert's help, Sato regained his footing and issued the command.

Golbat flapped its wings fiercely to counteract the pull. As it neared the black hole's edge, it suddenly propelled itself upward, soaring above Dusclops.

From its mouth, it unleashed a basketball-sized Shadow Ball aimed directly at Dusclops's glowing eyes.

The attack hit dead center.

Dusclops let out an agonized wail as the Shadow Ball's super-effective impact forced it to clutch its eyes, causing the black hole to dissipate.

Golbat seized the opportunity, bombarding Dusclops with smaller Shadow Balls.

Despite its high special defense, Dusclops couldn't withstand the relentless onslaught. Its battered body collapsed to the ground, the crimson glow in its eyes fading.

Sato hesitated for a moment before pulling out a Great Ball.

"Let's see if you're willing to join me," he murmured, tossing the ball. It struck Dusclops, converting it into a beam of red light and drawing it inside.
