When it came to the Random Ability Capsule, Sato didn't have much desire to redeem it.

To be honest, he didn't like items with such extreme randomness. Simply put, he didn't see much value in this system item for himself.

Was the Random Ability Capsule weak? Of course not. In Sato's view, this item had one of the highest potential values.

However, at the same time, it also had the lowest potential value. If he spent a precious 10% of his system energy and ended up with an ability like Truant or Slow Start, he'd be at a huge loss.

Of course, if the capsule happened to grant him Sap Sipper, then his Swampert would truly take off.

With that ability, his biggest weakness would not only be neutralized but even turned into an advantage.

However, there were at least over 200 known Pokémon abilities (310 to be exact), and Sato currently only had 27% of his system energy remaining. If he accounted for the need to keep the system shop from being locked, then he could actually use only 12%.

(Note: There were only 233 know abilities at the time of writing this. I've adjusted that to the current known abilities)

And the Random Ability Capsule required 10% of his energy. That meant he could only afford to purchase it once.

Spending such a rare and valuable 10% of his system energy while gambling on a 1-in-200+ chance to get Sap Sipper? If Sato were insane, maybe he'd give it a shot.

In short, while the Random Ability Capsule seemed powerful and appealing, the risk was too high for Sato. He couldn't afford to play that game right now.

Even if he wasn't so unlucky as to end up with Truant or Slow Start, there was still a high chance he'd get an ability that was of no real help to him in the short term.

Perhaps in the future, when Sato was stronger and capable of dealing with terrifyingly powerful Legendary Pokémon, he might consider taking such a risk. But for now, he needed to cherish every resource he had to improve his strength and avoid wasting anything.

On the other hand, the Mew Gene Enhancement Serum and the Multi-Space PokéBall were entirely different. These two system items would provide him with immediate and tangible benefits.

Especially the former—being able to enhance a Pokémon's IV rating was simply too good to pass up.

Among Sato's Pokémon, Golbat, Nidorino, Ditto, Swampert, and his Shiny Pelipper all had Purple Rating, while Growlithe was a tier lower at Blue Rating.

However, he already had a Mutated Fire Stone of unknown quality that could greatly enhance Growlithe's Rating.

While he wasn't sure if it would reach Gold Rating, it would at least be Purple Rating in the future.

Nidorino also required an evolution stone to evolve. If Sato could get his hands on the massive Moon Stone in Mt. Moon, which had been protected and blessed by generations of Clefairy, then a Gold Rated Nidoking would be a sure thing.

That left Golbat, Swampert, Ditto, and Shiny Pelipper. Figuring out how to enhance their potential was more of a headache. But with the Mew Gene Enhancement Serum, that problem could now be solved.

Among these four, Swampert had the highest potential, with an individual value total of 172—just three points shy of Gold Potential (175). As long as Sato wasn't cursed with bad luck, one dose of the serum would be enough to push Swampert into Gold Potential.

Shiny Pelipper, with an individual total of 163, also had a very high chance of reaching Gold Potential with a single dose of the serum, provided luck was on her side.

Golbat, however, was a different story. With an individual total of only 143, even with good luck, he would need at least two doses to reach Gold Potential, and if luck was bad, it could take five or six.

Ditto, on the other hand, was already classified as a non-combatant in Sato's eyes. If one day Ditto suddenly had a change of heart and truly wanted to battle, Sato would consider enhancing its potential for old times' sake.

After analyzing everything, Sato realized he still had a significant need for the Mew Gene Enhancement Serum. He had already decided to redeem a Multi-Space PokéBall, which meant he had only 22% of his system energy left.

If he ignored the system shop's automatic lockout at 15% system energy, he could redeem at most two doses of the serum.

As for which Pokémon should receive them, Sato hadn't made his final decision yet.

If he went with the optimal strategy, then using the two doses on Swampert and Shiny Pelipper would yield the greatest benefits.

As long as his luck wasn't terrible, both Pokémon would ascend to Gold Potential, significantly increasing their strength.

However, Sato was someone who valued sentiment. Golbat was his very first Pokémon, and unless he had no choice, he wouldn't abandon his efforts to raise it. If there was a chance to improve Golbat's rating, he would choose to do so first.

Sato wasn't indecisive. After weighing the pros and cons, he quickly made up his mind.

In the Rain Team he was working hard to build, Swampert was the ace. That meant one of the serum doses had to go to him.

Shiny Pelipper was the core of the Rain Team. Its strength would directly impact the team's overall performance. If its total IV rating could be raised to Gold, its growth speed would increase dramatically.

Even though Sato was a bit biased toward Golbat, for the sake of the bigger picture, he had to make this choice. Golbat was still doing fine—it wasn't at the stage where its potential was holding it back. It could wait.

Sato knew that system energy was a precious resource, but he believed he could obtain more in the future. For example, by participating in more Legendary Pokémon events with Ash, he might have the opportunity to gain some Legendary energy.

In fact, Sato was aware of the fastest way to replenish system energy—by finding the Jewel of Life, a gem created by Arceus using its elemental plates.

If he could get his hands on it, his system energy would essentially become limitless.

However, the risk was astronomical.

If there was one being in the Pokémon world that you absolutely shouldn't mess with, it was Arceus. The Jewel of Life was Arceus's treasure, and trying to steal it would be suicidal.

"Better to go after some weaker Legendaries first. The three Legendary Birds of the Sevii Islands would be good targets. I remember each of their shrines contained orb-like objects. Those might very well be their essence."

Sato carefully recalled some locations where he could collect Legendary energy. After some thought, he quickly identified a few places where he could replenish his system energy.

"The future will be even better. For now, I just need to keep working hard. Damn it, I'll redeem them. No pain, no gain."

After briefly fantasizing about his bright future, Sato returned to reality and gritted his teeth before redeeming two doses of Mew Gene Enhancement Serum and one Multi-Space PokéBall.

Since these purchases consumed 15% of his system energy, he was now left with only 12%.

With that, the system shop automatically locked again. He wouldn't be able to access it until he replenished more energy.

"So these are the Mew Gene Enhancement Serum and Multi-Space PokéBall, huh? The serum looks pretty fancy, but this PokéBall… it looks just like a regular one. Is this really legit?"

Sato examined the two glowing vials of serum and the red-and-white PokéBall in his hand, feeling skeptical.

The Mew Gene Enhancement Serum had an impressive appearance. It was a 100ml glass vial containing a liquid that continuously emitted a colorful glow.

It was clear that the liquid inside was extraordinary.

As for the Multi-Space PokéBall, its appearance was much less impressive. It looked exactly like the standard Poké Ball you could buy for 500 Pokédollars at any roadside stall.

If the system hadn't confirmed that it was indeed a Multi-Space PokéBall, Sato would have thought he'd been scammed.

"Everyone, come out."

After some thought, Sato released all his Pokémon to test the PokéBall's functionality.

In the next second, eight beams of white light shot out from the Poké Balls, and Golbat and the other seven Pokémon appeared in the room. (Ditto, currently transformed into a hat, was sitting on Sato's head.)

Sato then picked up the Multi-Space PokéBall, which looked no different from a regular Poké Ball, and aimed it at one of the Pokémon in the room.

Soon, Sato's test was complete.

The results proved that the seemingly ordinary red-and-white Poké Ball was indeed a Multi-Space PokéBall. It had successfully stored all eight of Sato's Pokémon.

Through further testing, Sato discovered some of the Multi-Space PokéBall's functions. It was voice-activated.

By calling out the name of a specific Pokémon, the ball would release that Pokémon.

Interestingly, when Sato said, "Everyone, come out," the Multi-Space PokéBall would release all the Pokémon inside according to his will.

With this functionality, Sato's plan of using the Multi-Space PokéBall to surprise his opponents could now be realized.

In the future, releasing 20 powerful Pokémon at once would be enough to overwhelm even a Legendary Pokémon.

Just thinking about this possibility brought a smile to Sato's face. It was something to look forward to.

Another noteworthy feature of the Multi-Space PokéBall was its ability to recall all Pokémon at once. By saying, "Everyone, return," Sato could recall all his Pokémon in an instant.

"With this, I don't have to worry about finding a Day Care for now. That's good. I don't trust anyone else to take care of my Pokémon."

Sato was very pleased with the Multi-Space PokéBall. It had solved a growing concern in his mind.

In fact, as someone with both Team Rocket and League Trainer identities, Sato could technically leave his Pokémon at the Day Cares run by these two organizations.

However, Sato had never considered doing so.

In Sato's opinion, leaving his Pokémon at a Team Rocket Day Care was like sending a lamb to the slaughter.

Pokémon experiments were nothing new within Team Rocket. Some crazy Team Rocket scientists often used Pokémon raised by other members for experiments when they weren't satisfied with their test subjects.

Therefore, smarter Team Rocket members avoided leaving their Pokémon at Team Rocket Day Cares. They preferred private Day Cares, even if it cost more.

As for leaving his Pokémon with the League, unless it was with someone like Professor Oak, Sato didn't trust it. Once a Pokémon was left at a Day Care, who knew what the staff might do?

Sato's Pokémon were all exceptional, and the Day Care staff would definitely notice.

While they might not do anything too extreme, it was highly likely that they would use aphrodisiacs to force Sato's Pokémon to breed with others.

Breeding Pokémon wasn't a simple matter. Although Sato wasn't entirely sure how the process worked, he knew that breeding took a toll on a Pokémon's overall vitality. (Overbreeding could lead to exhaustion.)

Therefore, Sato didn't want his Pokémon to be treated as test subjects or breeding stock. He would only entrust his Pokémon to someone he trusted completely.

After confirming the Multi-Space PokéBall's functionality, Sato quickly turned his attention to the two glowing potions on the table. The next step was to use them.

"Come out, Swampert, Pelipper."

Sato took out the Multi-Space PokéBall's and called out the names of the two Pokémon. Two beams of white light shot out from the ball.

In the next second, Swampert and Shiny Pelipper appeared in the room.

"Here, one each. Drink up."

Sato picked up the two Mew Genetic Enhancement Serum from the table, removed the caps, and handed one to each Pokémon. He then spoke in a serious tone.

As soon as the caps were removed, a strange medicinal aroma filled the air.

Swampert and Shiny Pelipper's eyes widened as they smelled the aroma. They stared intently at the potions Sato handed them, their eyes filled with intense desire.

Without hesitation, the two Pokémon took the potions and drank them.

"Gulp~"

The colorful liquid quickly entered their stomachs.

In the next second, a soft, colorful glow emanated from Swampert and Shiny Pelipper's bodies.

At the same time, two strands of glowing DNA chains appeared before Sato's eyes.
