The effects of the Revival Serum were nothing short of miraculous. As soon as Sato fed it to the red Gyarados, the medicine kicked in rapidly.

In an instant, the red Gyarados erupted with a surge of vigorous life force. The dull, lifeless look in its eyes was replaced with a sharp and lively gleam.

"ROAR!!!"

The red Gyarados suddenly lifted its head off the ground and let out a thunderous roar toward the sky.

Immediately, its Intimidate Ability activated once more. Enhanced by its innate Special Ability - Tyrant trait, the area within a ten-meter radius was instantly enveloped by its overwhelming aura.

The wild Pokémon that had been cautiously approaching due to the scent of blood all shuddered at once. Their eyes filled with either fear or deep wariness, and many of them collapsed to the ground with foam at their mouths, eyes rolled back.

The next moment, the sound of rustling bushes—"shasha shasha"—echoed through the forest.

The surrounding wild Pokémon scattered like refugees fleeing a calamity.

Shortly after, as though it had exhausted its last ounce of strength, the red Gyarados dropped its head back to the ground heavily, its eyes tightly shut.

Under the stimulation of the Revival Serum, the red Gyarados's cells began to divide at an astonishing rate, and its natural regenerative abilities surged several tiers higher.

As a result, the terrifying wounds all over its body rapidly sprouted new granulation tissue visible to the naked eye. These tissues intertwined, quickly stopping the bleeding and closing the wounds.

Before long, all of the various wounds covering the red Gyarados's body had fully healed. Not a single drop of blood flowed anymore, and its life force soared swiftly to a state of robust vitality.

"This Revival Serum is absolutely insane... He was practically dead, and now he's alive and kicking again. It really is a miracle cure."

Watching how the potion had yanked the red Gyarados back from the brink of death, Sato couldn't help but marvel at its effectiveness. He made a mental note to always stock up on more of it in the future.

However, just like its miraculous benefits, the side effects of the Revival Serum were also incredibly severe. The unnatural acceleration of cell division had put a massive strain on the red Gyarados's body.

Once the effects of the potion wore off, the red Gyarados's body began to shrink rapidly. Within just a few seconds, it had diminished by nearly a third in size.

"Well, might as well follow through all the way. You owe me big now—be ready to work hard for me from now on."

Seeing the red Gyarados in such a miserable state, Sato immediately understood that its body couldn't keep up with the nutritional demand from the rampant cell regeneration. Gritting his teeth, he took out a nutrition potion and fed it to the red Gyarados.

Nutrition potions were specifically formulated to complement Revival Serums, helping offset the severe nutrient depletion caused by the rapid healing process.

As soon as the small nutrient vial went down, the red Gyarados's body stopped shrinking and began to stabilize. In fact, it even started to show slight signs of recovery.

"Finally stabilized... As long as it gets enough nutrients and rests for a few days, it should fully recover."

Seeing the red Gyarados's condition stabilize, Sato nodded in relief.

He then took out its PokeBall and recalled the unconscious Shiny Gyarados, along with a few other Pokémon. Then, he mounted his Arcanine, which had regained a fair bit of strength, and quickly set off toward his territory.

About ten minutes later, Arcanine successfully dodged several waves of pursuing Vigoroth and brought Sato safely back to the cave entrance guarded by Ursaring.

"You've done well, Arcanine. Return to your PokeBall and get some proper rest. I'll call you out when it's time to eat."

After giving Arcanine some gem-grade PokeBlocks and water, Sato stroked its soft fur and returned it to its PokeBall.

Next, he released Bellossom, Ariados, and Ursaring. He instructed Ariados to keep watch at the cave entrance while he led Bellossom and Ursaring inside.

In truth, the reason Ursaring had chosen this cave as its home wasn't just because it provided shelter from the wind and rain—it was also due to a spring hidden within the cave.

The spring was connected to a deep underground aquifer. The water it released only filled a small pool nearby and didn't leak elsewhere. Essentially, it acted like a natural underground well.

Previously, Sato had neither a Water-type Pokémon nor the time, so he hadn't bothered modifying the spring. But now that he had the red Gyarados—a Pokémon with huge water demands—it became necessary to make adjustments.

Although the red Gyarados had recovered from its injuries, the aftereffects of the Revival Serum had left it weak and lacking in combat strength. Sato wasn't comfortable leaving it in any of the nearby rivers.

After all, every inch of this mysterious island was already claimed—including its rivers. If Sato released the weakened Shiny Gyarados into another river, there was a high chance it would be attacked—and possibly killed—by the wild Pokémon there.

The cave spring, in truth, was just a small opening in the underground water system. As long as the aquifer remained active, the spring wouldn't dry up. That meant even if Sato expanded the pool, it wouldn't be a problem.

Of course, Sato wasn't about to dig it himself. That kind of labor was perfect for Ursaring—the digging master he'd just discovered today.

Ursaring had only launched one Hyper Beam at the level-53 Gyarados earlier and hadn't really participated in the rest of the battle, so it still had plenty of strength to burn. Digging was a perfect task to channel its unused energy.

Sato directed Ursaring to start by digging around the pool's edges to avoid complications from flowing spring water during excavation.

With its thick, tough palms, sharp claws, and immense strength, Ursaring dug through the soil like it was tofu. The work progressed at a rapid pace, and soon large, interconnected pits began to surround the original pool.

Finally, with one well-aimed Hyper Beam, Ursaring blew open the center of the pit. Water from the spring surged upward, flooding the surrounding cavities almost instantly.

Before long, what was once a half-meter-wide pool had become a five-meter-wide pond. Its depth also increased from just over a meter to nearly eight.

"Come out, Gyarados. You can rest and recover here for the time being."

Once the sediment in the pond settled, Sato released the red Gyarados into the water. Speaking to the now-awake Pokémon, he said calmly.

As expected from its naturally ferocious nature, the red Gyarados still glared at Sato with hostility the moment it appeared, baring its fangs and radiating intense caution.

Still, it wasn't a mindless brute. Deep down, it understood that Sato had saved its life. Plus, with Bellossom and Ursaring—both capable of posing a serious threat—by Sato's side, the Gyarados chose not to act rashly.

In the end, it followed Sato's instructions, curled up its massive body within the slightly cramped pond, and closed its eyes to rest.

"Looks like my efforts weren't in vain. As long as it's not an ungrateful beast, everything else is manageable."

Seeing that the red Gyarados hadn't gone berserk upon waking, Sato let out a satisfied smile. The frustration he'd felt from using up such a valuable potion faded away.
