Stuck with a single Dad 👨‍👦( episode 10)

Continuation from last scene 

Mom: you what? 

Henry: I want you to know that... 

10 minutes later..

Mom: hmmm... I don't know what to say now.. I'm speechless.. 

Henry: I know you would but I'll give you time to think about it..

Mom: hmm alright no problem.. 

Henry: thank you for understanding everything..

Mom: its fine.. 

Would you like to take anything? 

Henry: no don't worry ma.. im fine 

Mom: what if I package it for you? 

Henry: no ma.. I don't want Samuel to know I came here or sense anything 

Mom: oh yeah that is true 

Then Henry stood up and was walking out..while Samuel's mom followed him..

Henry: thanks for your time once again 🙏 

Mom: its nothing my son. And thank you too.. 

Henry: alright bye ma...

He said and left quickly.. 

On his way going back he stopped at a restaurant and bought some food! 

Not leas than 15 minutes later he got back home..

Immediately he opened the door, he met Samuel and kelvin playing and laughing... on seeing that he was so happy that he smiled so well and obviously seen by Samuel.. 

Samuel: welcome..he said and kept a normal face..

Henry: good evening.. how are you? 

Samuel: fine.. 

Henry: and how is my son? 

Samuel: fine..

Henry: alright.. I bought us some food..he said pointing the leather to samuel..

Kelvin: reaching to grab the leather with his hands..

Henry: baby you want some? He said while smiling and looking at the baby and looking at Samuel in between to study his mood! 

Samuel: kept a normal facial reaction..

Henry: are you eating now? 

Samuel: No!

Henry: ok.. can you help me turn mine into a nice plate and keep on the dinning table for me? As I go and shower..

Samuel: ok.. 

Then Henry left for his room... 

About minutes later he came back to the living room.. 

And met his food on the dining table.. while Samuel and kelvin was already im there room.. 

Henry: sammy! Sammy! He called him..

Samuel: came out few seconds later..

Henry: what are you doing inside? Ain't you eating? 

Samuel; I'll eat mine inside the room 

Henry: hmmm why? 

Samuel: my choice 

Henry: you're still angry at me? 

Samuel: I'm not please.. just want to be alone.. Henry! I thought we spoke about this yesterday? Just let me be please..let me do my work and that is all.. I don't want problem again.. 

Henry: common guy how can both of us be in this house and you expect me not to talk to you huh? 

Samuel: I never said you shouldn't talk to me please.. just that I don't want any closeness with you again.. just let me be!

Henry: hmmm... its fine. I have tried my best. I have apologise.. just know that I don't want you to hold any grudges against me.. 

Samuel: I'm not and I won't..

Henry: okay.. you can go. Thank you.. 

Then Samuel left for his room... 

Immediately he entered his room.. his phone began to ring.. 

He checked and saw that itvwas his mom.. he declined the call and put his phone on flight mode... 

The following day! Saturday.. 

Around 10am, Samuel was in the living room watching Nigeria movies and was laughing so loud because of the funny scenes... 

Then Henry came and joined him.. sitting very close to him..

Henry: good morning... 

Samuel: good morning.. 

Then Henry placed his eyes on the TV.. 

Samuel: shifted away from Henry a little as he was feeling uncomfortable with the closeness.. 

Henry: today is your free day. Ain't you going? 

Samuel: I'm not.. 

Henry: why? 

Samuel: kelvin is not feeling to well.. he's running temperature since yesterday night 

Henry: is it something that needs a doctor attention? 

Samuel: i don't think so.. if its I'll let you know.. 

Henry: alright... 

Samuel : tood up and was about going..

Henry quickly grabbed his hands...

Samuel: turned and looked him.. 

Henry: you can sit down and watch your film.. I'll go back to the room.. 

Samuel: hmmm..

Then Henry left his hands and went to his room..

Samuel sat down back and continue watching his movie... 

Henry sat on his bed feeling uncomfortable about everything 😕.. 

And thinking of how to make Samuel get on his good side like before.. 

Scene 2( same day, evening hours) 

Samuel suddenly ran out of the room with kelvin, shouting Henry's name continously..

Henry ran out quickly..what is it? 

Samuel: is temperature is getting to high.. please let take him to the hospital 

Henry quickly ran to get his car keys.. 

Then they both drove off to the hospital... 

Scene 3( at the hospital)

2 hours after getting to the hospital... the doctor came out and met them..

Doc: weldone guys.. 

Please where is the mom? 

Henry: she's not around she travelled..

Doc: okay I would have love to talk to her..since she's the one always taking care of the child..

Samuel: you can tell us everything she needs to know..

Henry: yes please tell us... he said also..

Doc: okay the main issue here is the teeth.. he's having problem adjusting to the strength requires to form teeth.. had it been the mom is here i would have ask her to feed him more natural breast milk that will help him alot right now.. 

Samuel: is there no any other means apart from that? 

Doc: there is but that is cheapest.. 

You can get him some drugs.. I'll prescribe it for you

Henry: we will go with that sir..

Doc: okay fine..

Samuel: so how is he doing now? 

Doc: he's better but please get those drugs for him immediately you leave here.. 

Henry: we will sir..

Doc: okay the nurse will give you your bill.. kindly pay, get drugs and then go home.. 

Henry: alright sir.. thank you

Then the doctor left... 

They met the nurse and did all what the doctor said.. before leaving 

They got home very late that night..at about 11pm.. 

Henry was the one carrying the baby who was already asleep.. 

Then he took him to there room.. and lay him down gently... then sat beside him.. 

Samuel was standing beside the bed looking at the baby too

Henry: please can I stay here for a while ? I just want to be with my son.. 

Samuel: sure fine.. he said and at the other corner of the bed.. facing the wall

Henry: looking at the baby and praying for him...

Samuel: turned and looked at him

So you can pray? He said in his mind while looking at Henry who was serious praying... 

Few minutes after Henry prayed.. he rested his head besides his son.. and eventually slept off without knowing... 

Samuel who was almost falling asleep turned to check on the baby and saw Henry sleeping already... 

Some minutes later he slept off too.. 

The following morning... 

Henry woke up and met the baby still sleeping.. then he checked around and noticed he slept off in there room..

He turned and looked for Samuel.. 

Then he stood up from the bed carefully so that the baby won't wake up.. 

While doing so the baby eventually woke up.. by crying.. 

Not more than 10 seconds Samuel rushed in.. 

And quickly carry the baby..

Samuel: shuu shuu shuu ... sorry! Sorry ok.. he said to the baby while trying to get him to sleep again.. 

Then baby kept on crying on and on...

Henry: should we take him to the hospital again? He asked curiously and worriedly 

Samuel; no need.. he will be fine. 

Then he carry the baby and placed him on his back.. 

Henry: you want to back him? 

Samuel: yeah that is the only way he can fall asleep faster..

Henry: oh I see.. 

Samuel: do you have any wrapper? 

Heney: yeah yeah.. I still have the one my mom gave to me.. 

He said as he quickly rushed to get it..

He came back not less than a minute.. 

Samuel used the wrapper to tie the baby so he won't t fall from his back.. 

Some minutes later after the baby had adjusted he slept off.. 

Henry: he don sleep oo😳😳 he said looking surprised about the whole stuff..

Samuel: 😒😒😒

Henry:smiled at Samuel 

Samuel: what is wrong... what is funny? 

Henry: sorry.. 

Then Samuel left the room.. 

Henry followed him immediately... 

Throughout that day Henry was following Samuel around the house just to make sure the baby is fine..

Around evening time..

Samuel: you should stop following me, I mean us.. me and kelvin.. its ok! We know you're a caring dad.. 

Henry: hmm i just don't want you to feel like I don't care and I'm leaving everything to you..

Samuel: i won't feel that way.. its ok now.. you have been following me around like a kid since morning.. 

Henry: hmmm... sorry oo.. just looking after my son!

Samuel: hmmm.. alright good night. 

Henry: can I sleep over again.. I want to sleep beside him.. 

Samuel: hmm he's your son you can do that just don't wake him up..if not you will take care of him yourself.. 

Henry: okay.. thank you sir..

He said and wanted following Samuel immediately to the room

Samuel: wait first sir, let me go and arrange the bed when I'm done I'll let you know.. 

Henry: 🤣🤣 you are so funny! He said and laughed..

Samuel ignored him and left.. 

Some days later.. baby kelvin was feeling better and stronger.. within those days.. Henry had been sleeping at Samuel room.. using the baby's health condition as najor reason... 

About 2 days later again.. as usual Henry was already in Samuel's room to pass the night as usual.. 

He was playing with baby on the bed.. while Samuel was inside the bathroom.. 

He came out and met the baby and Henry laughing and playing... 

Then Henry stopped laughing immediately he saw Samuel.. 

Samuel: oga sir what are you doing here? 

Henry: which kind question is this? I'm here to sleep na

Samuel; on what reason please? 

Henry: because the baby is not....

The he paused and remembered that the baby is now full well and ok..

Samuel: because of what sir? 

Henry: abeg na... 

Samuel: abeg what? 

Henry: please na... allow me sleep here ! I'm use to sleeping here already..

Samuel: no way! I'm not comfortable seeing you sleep here.. 

Henry: and why? 

Samuel: nothing just don't sleep here today.. go and sleep in your room.. the baby is now full well.. you don't have any excuse again.. 

Henry: please na..

Samuel: leave my room please.. I want to change my dress.. 

Henry: can I come back after you change? 

Samuel: No!... 

Henry: wait ooo but this is my house oo.. why are you chasing me out like its your house😳😳 and I'm obeying you. 

Samuel: this is your house but this is my room please... 

Henry: hmm ok its fine.. I'll go..

Samuel: good.. bye bye.. go.. 

Henry: stood up from the bed and was going... 

I'm going o.. im going.. Good night..

He said while walking slowly hoping that Samuel would call him back.. 

As he was going... boom the baby began to cry..

Samuel: 😳😳 what is this? Why are you crying? He said looking at the baby..

The baby continues to cry as he was crawling on the bed trying to follow his dad.. 

Henry: 😳😳 he wants to follow me? 

Wow first time in history kelvin... you miss me? I shouldn't go? This is shocking.. he said as he quickly walk to carry the baby..

Samuel:😒😒😒 looking jealous 

Hmm I guess he's mistaken me for you... bring him to me.. he said as he tries to collect the baby from Henry.. 

The baby followed him.. and he carried him..

Samuel: you see.. I know he's mistaken me for you.. 

So you can go now sir.. 

Then Henry was about leaving again..

Boom the baby start to cry again..

Samuel: kelvin look at me.. look at my face. This is me! He said as he faced the baby to him.. 

Henry: you see.. I told you.. he wants me here.. he said as he collected the baby.. 

Samuel: kelvin you betrayed me! He said while looking at the baby.. 

The baby was just laughing 😂 and giggling.. 

Henry: so you see that I have all reason to sleep here tonight.. he said and winked at Samuel.. 

Samuel: yes you can sleep.. I'll go and sleep in the living room.. he said and was about the leaving the room..

Boom... the baby cried out again.. on seeing Samuel trying to leave the room... 

Samuel: now I see the politics you're trying to play here.. he said to baby kelvin.. you can't have the both of us same time.. you will have to chose between me or your dada.. he said as he moved closer to the baby... 

And smiling at him.. 

 And the baby smiled back at him while using his little hands to massage Samuel's cheek..

Henry: smiling and looking Samuel's face.. 

Samuel: continues smile at the baby..

Henry: continues to smile and look at Samuel.. 

Then Samuel raised his head and noticed Henry was staring at him.. 

Henry: thank you.. he said softly.. 

Samuel: for what? 

Henry: for everything! For taking good care of my son and me.. he said softly with a sweet deep voice 

Samuel: looking at Henry intensely in the eyes.. oh its ok..

Henry: looking at Samuel's lips while looking at his face..

Yeah.. then he exhaled heavily on Samuel's 

Oh sorry... 

Samuel: oh its fine..

The atmosphere was intense... 

Henry: can I kiss you? 

Samuel: huh? What? You say..

Henry: I'm sorry! He said and kisséd Samuel..

Samuel: 😳😳 he opened his eyes while receiving the kiss..

He wanted to shift away...then Henry dragged him closer with his other hand and kissed him more As he was using his other hand to carry his son...
