NORTHPASS'S HISTORY"What your sister is achieving here?" Liliane deadbolts the door-lock behind her before turning towards Hael who seemed to appreciate a spot of floor very much."Might've found a way to get me out of the house," Hael leans in closer and whispers. "She is a witch's descendant and keeps a check on me every day. Always trails my very actions as if she could catch me red-handed.""A ginger?" Liliane inquires receiving a scorn from Hael."Not all witches are red-headed, for instance, look in the mirror, you will find an annoying one in it. That's preconceived and prejudice practiced for generations. I expect better from you, wolf."Liliane fixes the crack on her sales-man's smile and answers indifferently, "So it will be false to assume that owls are messengers of witches.""That's true for owls from West [Author- Myth from USA] but my lineage are no servants of witches. My ancestors were more likely punished for stealing a rose meant to be rewarded to a beauty. That's how owls are nocturnal as other birds concluded this as a perfect verdict made thousands of years ago." [Author- Another myth]"Mind to elaborate the beauty?""A brunette witch who seduced a gullible Duke of West to receive the price- A rose which can extend their life.""Let me guess that your sister is also a brunette which justifies your folklore and assumption that she is up to no good for you.""Bingo," Hael exclaims exhibiting the will to halt the conversation. Liliane stops prying as all the statements of the child before her were mostly biased itself fueled with lack of teaching. 'He really have been misled with prejudice and folklores.'Liliane sighs and takes in her surroundings- a vampire's section or more likely a lair of werewolf's common rival. The treasure room."I suppose that there might be few vampires still in existence. What if there's a secret community of them anticipating a chance to attack Northpass again," Hael murmurs as he reaches for a goblet filled with a sweat liquid behind a broken glass, which strangely urges him to consume. Liliane smacks his hand and calls, "You are quite young to drink vampire's wine which is preserved for years and certainly expired enough to expire you."Hael shifts as he mulls over the fact that rotted wine of vampires still furnishes sweet fragrance, astonishingly for him to look appealing to relish. Liliane vaguely guesses and explains, "You really think we will keep human blood in a vampire's goblet and distort our policy of maintaining peace for humans of Northpass. Why chose some runaway night creatures and mortal enemies of werewolves instead of humans which are a better resource for our community. That's a rodent blood meant to disrespect vampire's lineage in their goblets which seems to have awaken your owl instincts. After all you are quite the haughty descendant of them."Hael ignores the remark and inquires further, "I'm well aware the hatred between wolves and vampires but don't you think it's too much... insincerity in the town. Why having a whole section for vampires when there's no desire to respect them to begin with.""That's how the mayor is. A hypocrite but still someone who can keep leash on every creature in human skin including the homo-sapiens with deficiencies."Hael pouts as he moves across the room, "Your lineage is blessed to not have weird inherited desires and kinks except the soulmate shit with no refund or guarantee.""Sometimes it's better to be weird, kid." Liliane places an artifact on her palm before looking at a puzzled Hael who was determined to lead the investigation further."That to be said. Why the hatred towards vampires and where are they?""It's not specified when this rivalry come. There are many theories but two holds over everything- Humans and authority. Werewolves and vampires both fed on humans and have a certain competition and jealousy for ages. Another tale says that they both are greedy to rule upon night.""Why did the vampires left?""Don't know the exact reason but the mayor said that they have gone extinct. I don't think so.""Me neither. Our mayor is fishy. I bet he mascaraed all the vampires but failed and burned few witches who dared to hold trouble for him to sit on the mayor's seat.""Exactly, Sherlock! Look you found your Watson," Liliane chuckles disheveling Hael's locks mastering to earn a frown from him. "Enough with the chit-chat. We still have Blair and his little witch associate out roaming in the hallways and look the other two doors for the hallways of other teams!"Hael turns to find himself steps away from two door frames closed with the wooden locked doors but heavy footsteps coming behind from one followed by a click-"I bet we won!" A pleased face walked inside the treasure room spinning around with triumph imprinted but it soon appeared to be ceased at the two real victors smirking with arms folded- one barely even reaching the other's shoulder but still flaunting a wide grin decked with a look which yells 'Too late, we won employees'."Mysty," Grey calls over before founding himself to have lost the hunt as he pierces inside the treasure room with a twisted smile displaying defeat."Remorse your loss after closing the door," Liliane commands. "Blair is here with an acquaintance.""A witch," Hael corrects with a victory beam ravaging his dark impulsive thoughts of escape and marches forward passing by two open-jawed losers to close and lock their hallway's door. "The traps were not even moderate.""Should have seen that coming," Grey maintains his smile. "A child can live up to his surname.""You forget that I exist," Liliane frowns. "I still would've won if I was alone.""Look who is talking!" Hael argues and the debate goes on until..."We are third!" Odette stomps her feet on the floor with Newt behind her who presented an apathetic smile with an expected look on his face."Well employees," Hael shrugs his shoulders. "At least you didn't stumble upon Blair and my sister.""What your sister doing here?" Grey asks. "Wait! Did the Chief called police.""I doubt. She would rather insist to search me by herself because she can't bear attention. She might not even tell my foster family or anyone except Blair because he can access the museum for her.""Your sister is a real one.""A real witch who cares about her reputation oddly enough to prove my theory.""Then again, who isn't a witch in your list," Liliane states a fact. "I hope that Blair doesn't know that we are playing a game.""I called discreetly and feed him anonymous information about someone has trespassed in the museum. It was fun to hear his horrified voice over the phone.""It will be fun to hear it again!" A certain bald yelled from distance with a certain brunette tailing him. "We found the trespassers and your brother, Miss Holmes. I hope we won't meet in future again and this descendant of eagles, promises to never bring this incident in future if you does the same with my bold employees." The young brunette nods and took three long strides to grab Hael's shirt and lifted him up with fury written on her face and a light anxious feeling obscured in her ocean eyes. "Running away, again. Care to explain?""Get your hands off me, Riruru!" Hael screeches while struggling from his sister's hold on his cloths. "Stop it!""And what we have here!" Chief Loid mocks as he crosses over the room to confront the group of five adults, his employees trespassing and pulling a ridiculous prank on him, late at night. "I didn't expect this from you, Newt!""Oh he did expect this from us," Odette whispers to Liliane who agrees in the dark. "Newt's the clever one to create an innocent image of him yet blew it up just for a hunt."
