She blinked once, slowly, her silver eyes narrowing with a mix of disbelief and something dangerously close to offense. For a moment, her composure wavered, the shift in her demeanor so subtle it would have gone unnoticed by anyone else.
Her lips parted as though to respond, but she closed them again, her breath catching as Ebipade continued.
