Stretching my body I got off from my bed as I go about my daily routine. The same as always, cleaning, cooking, brushing, bathing and going to work. I'm a medical doctor and that's just it. 


As I step out of my small apartment, I walked toward the bus station. I keep to myself not that I have friends anyways. 


"No no I'm fine" well hello handsome. This guy standing right in front of me was so handsome I mean, damm 


"Are you sure?" I was smiling like a fool now, snap out of it Mercedes, don't get sway but this pretty face of his and all these muscles I see. 


"I'm Kyle, I just moved into this complex" 


"I'm Mercedes" I replied shaking his hands. 


" Nice name. You are a doctor" he made it a statement pointing to my uniform. 


"Yes I think it's pretty obvious" he chuckled. 


"I see you are in such a rush, why don't we have dinner sometime and we can get to know ourselves better" oh my God, that was quick. He was asking me out, a guy actually talked to me and asked me out. 


"Did you know that the human body contains 30,000 billion red blood cells." Slapping my forehead mentally, great just great I had to embarrass myself. 


"You are funny: he chuckled. "So see you at eight, apartment 845" he turned and left. I stood there with my mouth opened. Did I just get a date Oh my God. Shit I'm late, I looked at the time and notice It was almost 9am, I hurried to the bus station. 


When I'm at work, I don't get nervous I actually am very confident and know what to do and not raise stupid fact. 


" Yes Miss Evans,we are indebted to you" 


"I only did my job sir. I'm a doctor and I intend to save life as much as possible." I told the man whose son's life I just save. 


"Miss Evans, we are holding a charity event on saving cancer patients. It's usually for high dignitaries but it will be our honor to see you there and tell us a few thing about the diseases and ways we can help." 


" I would love to, but I have stage fright, I don't think i can do it" I replied. 


"Nonsense. It's done, I will send you the details" she seems to be brighter now since her son was doing a whole lot better. 


"Did you know the human heart beats 30 million times a year." 


"You see that's the spirit, excuse me" she took out her cell phone and answered the call. She moved towards her husband. Shit shit I can't do it. 


I looked at my watch as I waited at the bus stop, it 6:15 I have an appointment by 8pm. As soon as I came down, I ran up to my apartment. Cleaned up and got dress. I went to the apartment receptionist. 


" Please can you send this to Kyle the guy at apartment 845" I told her while handling her a note. 


She smiled as she nodded. 7:15pm I have 45mins left to get there. I got into a cab as we headed to REINS hangout. As the cab got there I look at my watch I had five minutes to spare. Great just in time. 


I checked my watch its 8pm and the hottest seductress walks in. She smiled and walked directly to me. I stood up shaking her hand. 


"May I say, you look really ravishing tonight" 


"You don't look so bad yourself" she gave me the most seductive look I have ever seen. 


"I am Cassandra but you can call Cassie" 


" Lovely name for a lovely lady. I have a preposition for you" 


I told her and she raised her eyebrow at me and smiled.
