The next day was the weekend. Kim Hana was trained again by Kang Seo Joon but could not seem to relax. She went home early to pick out her clothes for the next day. Kang Seo Joon was gone all day and had promised to pick her up when ready. He told her to rest, but Kim Hana could not close her eyes all day.
It was as though Saturday went by so fast. It was night when Kang Seo Joon returned. When he walked into the living room, he saw her seated there, already dressed and ready.
“Do you have your mask?” he asked, and she nodded.
She looked like a child about to be called into the principal’s office.
He could tell she was nervous. He went up to change before coming down. Without saying a word, he grabbed her arm and led her out.
He got into the driver’s seat, and she got in next to him.
It took her a good minute to wear her seat belt.
“Breathe, Hana-ssi,” he said to her as he pulled out of their driveway.
“I am trying,” she said.
