Levi and I immediately composed ourselves and ran to take cover behind a gigantic rock. The centipede crawled along the ceiling of the cave, its screeching sending chills down our spines.
Of all things, why must it be a centipede? I sighed, irritated and disgusted. Now I understand Levi's habit of sighing. It does not help with the stress, but it lets you express it.
As the centipede crawled down to the ground, I braced myself to take action. It would be a dangerous gamble, but I still had my physical strength to try and ease our predicament.
Levi must have gotten the hint from my stance; his gaze gave my back a burning sensation. I could already hear his voice in my head after this is over.
The cold breeze returned and bit at our skin as we braced ourselves against the strong gusts of wind assaulting us from all directions. Levi fell to his knees and was almost blown into the air, but I rushed and pulled him back. He clung to the rock where I was holding on.
