SURPRISE! BABY GIRL

3rd highway.....

A black Koenisegg Revera sped up on the highway. At its speed, one would think the driver was in a racing contest worth millions of dollars. The car drove off the highway to a secluded top notch club in the area.

The club was owned by some rugged drug dealer and his family. It was a high class club for people who had connection in the top most seats in the world. No ordinary person would dare go there, as the membership ID cost a fortune.

A lot of secret organizations from all over the world, frequently visited the club, as it was not open or known to the public. Even the Italian government didn't know about it.

The black Revera came to a screeching halt at the entrance of the club. The doorman, dressed like an elite himself, opened the car door respectfully, bowing slightly. A pair of death black stilettos kissed the floor welcome, with perfect tanned legs as its anchor.

A young and alluring lady came out of the car majestically and patiently, like she had all the time in the world.

She was dressed in a blood red gown that showed off her curvy shape stylishly. Her face, with exquisitely applied makeup, looked as pure as an angel, but as fierce as a Lion on a hunting spree. Her long shiny hair flowing down her waist in a graceful display, was the envy of everyone that passed by.

All of her million dollar jewelry was the finishing touch to her show-stopping ensemble.

By the way she carried herself, one would think she was a graceful 30 year old woman, but in reality, she was just 22 years old!

She was Luna Patrick. She belonged to the Legendary Patrick lineage, known for their nefarious criminal activities across the world.

They dealt with hefty loads of drugs and weapons, killing anyone who dared to cross their path. Extremely notorious in their dealings, no one had been able to get them, as they were as invincible like thin air. The FBI had been hunting them down for over 35 years, but failed to even catch a single soul related to them.

Luna had come all the way from Russia to Italy for her very dear best friend, Scarlett.

She had met Scarlett while she was severely injured on a mission for her grandfather. Scarlett saved her life and took care of her, not minding the consequences of being associated with a Patrick.

Luna walked straight into the 40 story club like it was her territory, carefully taking her steps one after the other. After verifying her ID as a VVIP member, she strolled into a darker part of the club. She took out her phone to text Scarlett.

'Hey girl, where are you? I'm here already.'

'Roof top. I'm waiting' Scarlett replied.

Luna strolled into the elevator and pushed the button to the top floor. When she got off, she walked straight to roof top. A particular door caught her attention.

On the door read the words, "Roof top, I'm waiting" Luna pushed the door and went in. The whole room was as dark as dark can be. There was no one in there. "Hello, baby girl are you there?" She called out.

The lights were turned on dimly as soon as she called out for Scarlett.

5 bulky men, all dressed in black from head to toe, stood at ease facing her, like they were expecting her.

Luna eyed them suspiciously and stealthily reached out for the gun secured in her thighs. As she was about the get hold of her gun, a knife aimed for her neck from her back.

In a flash, Luna stood up straight and grabbed the knife that was so close to resting in her temple, midair.

Immediately, a black shadow lunged at her from the back and kicked her forward. Luna thought it was the FBI. 'But the FBI cannot get into this place without verification' She thought. Luna turned around and sent a powerful towards the attacker.

'This person's skills are as good as mine!' Luna reasoned. 'Only Scarlett can be as good.'

It was puzzling for Luna. She came to see Scarlett but was welcomed by suspicious bodyguards and she was now attacked by a mysterious person??? This is crazy!

The mysterious black shadow dodged the blow and blew a whistle. Then the five burly men came forward and grabbed Luna by the arm, raising her high in the air.

"You guys are fools. Do you know who I am, huh?" she barked ferociously. "Maybe you have no idea that I'm from the Patrick household. Grandpa will never let you guys off when he gets you. Everyone one of you will die if you don't let me go thIs instant!" she continued her angry threats.

The mysterious black shadow laughed out loud like a brainless maniac. The lights were turned on in a flash.

Luna stared at the black shadow in surprise. She couldn't believe her eyes. "Scarlett??" "Surprise!" Scarlett cried out, laughing hard.

What the hell was going on? Had Scarlett been brainwashed? "Girl what are you doing? Are you turning me in to the FBI?"

Luna couldn't understand what her bestie was aiming at. They had come here to relax and have the time of their lives, unexpectedly she was here captured by her best friend…..what was going on?

"Surprise baby girl!" Scarlett exclaimed with a huge smile on her face. "Lulu you forget it's your birthday today, again." She pouted.

Luna always forgot her birthday every year. As she was constantly running from the government, she had no time to think about celebrations or festivities, neither did her family. It was only Scarlett's yearly calls, hearty wishes and gifts to her that made her realize she was a year older.

At such times, she wished she was born into a normal family. Like those ones she had seen on TV as a young child. Where all her relatives would gather at their family house and make her feel special, like she was the princess of the whole household. Unfortunately or fortunately, it wasn't the case for her.

She had to spend her most youthful years running around the world, in a life of crime for a family that was heavily based on money, power and affluence.

The bodyguards carefully let Luna down and she straightened out her dress. "Really? Is this how friends surprise themselves on their birthdays?" She queried, a fake frown sitting complacently on her face.

"What were you expecting? An orchestra with a huge cake and balloons?" Scarlett smiled as she walked across the room to Luna. "We both know it's not my style. I'd rather give you a good beating." She chuckled. "Whatever." Luna sighed, hugging her bestie.

"At least someone in this world remembered my birthday and still beat me up." Both girls laughed out loud. Their laughs sounded like fire crackers, sending the bodyguards spinning.

"Okay now, play time's over. Let's go straight to business." Scarlett said to Luna, guiding her to sit. "You all guard the doors, and Cygnus, turn on the anti-tapping device before you leave." She directed the burly guards that could be mistaken for huge statues.

"What are you up to coming back home?" Luna asked Scarlett seriously, after the guards had all gone.

She knew her behavior and understood fully, that she would never visit the past unless there was business to be taken care of. Whoever she had come for would suffer terribly in these coming days. "I'm here for Mr. Bryan" Scarlett replied nonchalantly, referring her father.

"He crossed the line a long time ago, and I've so long for this moment." She continued. Luna nodded slightly with no trace of emotion on her face.

"Are you going to kill him? Does your mom even know what you're up to?" Luna asked her carefully.

Scarlett looked up at the ceiling and sighed heavily. "I'm not going to kill him. I'm just going to make him suffer in treacherous pain for the rest of his life, to the extent he'll seek for death but it'll be too transparent for him to grasp. His nasty blood is not going to be on my hands."

She looked at her perfectly manicured hands and waved them back and forth, admiring the flawless job her manicurist had done.

"And my mom does not know what I'm here for. I'd love to keep it that way…between me and you."

Luna placed her hands on Scarlett's and softly rubbed them in a circular motion. Scarlett clearly looked like she had been through a lot of traumatic days and sleepless nights. She never forced Scarlett to talk about herself, rather she always supported her through every right decision and calmly helped her see the cons in her bad decisions.

"I really want you to be free." Luna softly spoke. "You must have had rough and terrible days that you can't even tell anyone…including me, but I will never force or coerce you to talk about what's bothering you. I only hope you can deal with this soon and be free….mentally, physically in everything."

Luna looked at Scarlett as though she was a child as she spoke to her. She could feel her pain to her very bones, but she knew it would be difficult for her to say her mind, as there were some things that was too heavy for one's mouth to speak out loud..only the mind could carry it and sort it out. In a flash, her puppy eyes were activated, sending Scarlett into a huge fit of laughter.
