Tracy and Rowan left the hall and drove straight to the Hotel to celebrate with Scarlett.
They were joyous and excited that her show was perfect.
As they left for the exit door, Rowan's eye spotted someone that looked oddly familiar…..He was sure his sister would not love to see this type of person at her big show.
The media followed after Scarlett and Vera, asking questions, requesting for interviews, wanting to know more about the fashion show.
Both ladies was in no mood to entertain any question right now.
They were all exhausted and wanted to relax for a bit.
Scarlett's guards paved the way for both ladies, most especially Scarlett, to walk without pushing and squeezing through the crowd outside.
ROMANO'S public relations officer, Draco, spoke to the noisy crowd. "Attention everyone!"
They all turned their heads to see who was talking. "Most of us here know the rules. Miss Chevalier and the chief designer will not entertain any question or interview until they deem it fit to do so. So please, all the reporters direct all questions to me and leave any further inquiries as an email to the company. Thank you."
The crowd resumed their noises, voices upon voices, trying to grab news worthy information.
Suddenly, one of the reporters yelled, "Mr. Pierce is here!"
Everyone rushed to the man in question. "Mr. Pierce why did you attend this event as you are rarely found at fashion events?"
"Mr. Pierce what do you think of ROMANO's spring fashion theme this year?"
"Is your reason for attending this event to create business opportunities with ROMANO?"
"Does your presence here signify that you're in a relationship with their Creative Director, Miss Chevalier?"
The man burst out in laughter when he heard the last question. It was the most surprising question he had ever heard in his whole life.
"Me? In a relationship with Miss Scarlett?"
"Now I don't think that's ever going to happen." He stated out seriously.
"Besides, she's not my type at all. I don't want a woman like her."
"What then is your type? You never know if stating your preference could lure her out." A reporter said, making everyone present chuckle.
The interviewed man laughed once again. "That's not a story for today. The focal point is this fashion show. Honestly, I feel it's not bad but not the best either.
Judging from what I see other fashion houses do, ROMANO's work is way too sentimental for my liking. I think they would do better with another Creative Director than this one they currently treasure." He said flashing a smile and walked off to his car.
All persons present were too shocked to say anything.
He actually said while ROMANO's public relations officer was still there? He had some huge balls!
Draco was astonished at what that crazy man said. "How dare he say that while I'm still here?" He stomped his feet on the ground, unhappy with the whole interview thing. He didn't even get to answer any question about the show!
Orla was in a luxury bus together with Scarlett and Antonio and two other guards she couldn't recognize. The other guards drove closely behind them.
Vera had already been dropped off at a restaurant to celebrate with her fiancée.
She was thankful they were not driving like robbers getting away from the cops this time around.
Scarlett had her eyes closed, relaxing in the seat like she just had the world taken off her shoulders. Anyone that didn't know her would think she was asleep, but Orla knew better.
Scarlett rarely slept anywhere except her own room. The only place she might doze off would be on a long flight, but even with that she would jolt out of her sleep from time to time.
Orla turned on her phone to watch something interesting before they got to the hotel.
"Boss, was that really necessary? You didn't have to insult them like that."
"Troy, I didn't insult anybody. I only said what was on my mind and how I felt about the whole situation." Ethan said to him, resting back into the car seat.
Ethan Pierce was the CEO of FG Entertainment.
He was a widely known entertainment mogul in Rome and many parts of Europe. All they did was recruit young, aspiring, talented youths and turn them into the stars they've dreamed of.
Ethan was a very strict boss, extremely blunt and sometimes cruel. He never took anyone's feelings into consideration before doing what he wanted or saying what he pleased.
Working with him was basically synonymous to walking on hot with the Devil and you're unable to scream.
How his assistant, Troy, was able to stand his unorthodox rulership was incredible.
"So are we flying back to Rome immediately or you would love to catch some sleep before we leave?" Troy asked him.
"Pick out any good hotel for me. I have to get rid of this vacation mode before I get back home." Ethan muttered loud enough for Leo to hear.
"Letty! Over here!" Rowan called out to his sister, who appeared to be lost at the hotel restaurant.
Scarlett walked over with Orla and Antonio. "I thought it was supposed to be a private celebration, why are we in a restaurant?" Scarlett asked looking around.
She sat down as Antonio pulled out a chair for her and Rowan for Orla.
"Yes it was and it is. It's you who violated the 'private celebration' by bringing your assistant here. No offense, Miss." Rowan turned and apologized to Orla, in case she felt offended by his rather jabbing humor.
"None taken sir." Orla slightly bowed.
Rowan smiled at her response.
Scarlett rolled her eyes at Rowan's subtle flirting. "Stop messing around with my assistant." She declared.
Tracy looked at the fun bantering going on at the table. It seemed like she was non-existent, but in a good way.
"Ahem." Tracy cleared her throat.
"I nearly thought I was just a ghost at this table, given the fact that someone forgot their manners to greet their elders when they arrived." She said, gently sipping her tea.
Rowan sat back in his chair and prepared to enjoy what was going on. "Don't be so uptight, Miss Assistant. Relax yourself." He whispered to Orla.
She looked very tense and uneasy to be around this billionaire family. It was like she was an alien in the midst of these people…non responsive and staring.
She felt she didn't belong to this setting.
Nevertheless, she nodded and slightly smiled in response to Rowan.
"So sorry Madam Tracy." Scarlett rose up and curtsied respectfully with a hint of playfulness. "Your troublesome creature of a son got me distracted, hence the misunderstanding. Pardon me."
Tracy chuckled and shook her head. "Cut the bull crap young lady. Who are you trying to appease?"
"If you want to show your sincerity, foot all the bills today." Tracy winked cunningly.
"Hahaha very funny. It's not like you guys are broke. Why should I pay for a dinner I was INVITED to?" Scarlett stressed the word invited, to show that she was not even interested in the unnecessary gathering in the first place.
"Letty, can't you be nicer? You just finished a successful show yet you're so stingy." Rowan said to his sister, a tiny frown forming on his face.
"I am already nice by attending a ceremony I didn't request for or to be a part of."
"Now, are we eating or you're going to keep on scrutinizing me?" She asked, picking up the menu to go through it.
Tracy sighed. She nudged Rowan to let it go.
Scarlett might be so wordy, but she knew her daughter was already going to pay from the start.
"Hnn? Orla why have you been so quiet? Are we making you uncomfortable in any way?" Tracy asked when she realized the innocent staff had been so quiet.
Orla looked round at the table as she heard her name. She had zoned out a few minutes ago.
Several matters had to be dealt with when she got home. "Umm nothing ma'am. It's just that I'm a little exhausted today." She quickly said.
"You know, I can take you home if you want. A pretty girl like you shouldn't be waiting for taxis and cabs." Rowan cheekily offered.
"No, thank you. She doesn't need your help. She didn't get here in your car and she wouldn't be leaving with you or get in your outdated car." Scarlett stood up for Orla and glared at him.
Tracy face palmed herself. "What is wrong with you? Why are you making her uncomfortable? Have some self respect!" She slammed her palms on the table.
"I'm so sorry on his behalf dear. Don't be offended." Tracy apologized to Orla. "No worries. I'm fine. I guess he didn't mean it and was just joking." Orla replied.
Tracy and Scarlett looked at each other and said nothing.
They ordered lots of food and ate to their heart's content. Orla slowly crawled out of her shell and had hearty conversations with the amazing Chevalier family.
'How I wish my family was as happy as this.' She thought to herself.
