PARTRIARCHS AND QUESTION-MARKS??? 2

Silence filled the hallways as the maid led Ethan to his grandfather's study.

Only the sounds of little birds chirping and the footsteps of domestic servants walking round the house could be heard.

Ethan assumed the rest of the family hadn't gotten up.

"Where is everyone?" He inquired the maid.

"They're out for their daily jogs, sir." She responded.

Ethan shook his head in realization.

He had been far away from his family to even know these things about them….it's not like he cared anyways.

Finally, both maid and grandson got to Peter's study.

"Here we are, sir." The maid pointed.

"Thank you for stating out the obvious."

"You can go now." He rolled his eyes and shooed the innocent girl away.

Before Ethan could even knock, Peter had already called him in. "Come in." His aged voice rang through the door.

Ethan breathed lightly and opened the door.

Once he got in, he shut it and stood before his grandfather.

"Good morning sir. You sent for me."
