After Nine Years

The ride back to Scarlett’s house was quite solemn. 


Scarlett’s mood totally changed once she got out of the gym. 


Antonio noticed this, but he kept his mouth shut. 


Scarlett got into the car so quietly and kept staring blankly. 


Her thoughts were not aligning at all. 


How come of all people in this world, she would run into Astley? She thought she had truly forgotten about him… 


Well, she did. He just had to show up out of the blue. 


“Antonio.” She finally spoke after a few silent minutes. 


“I’m on it.” Antonio said in response to Scarlett. 


Scarlett chuckled. “Are you in my brain?” she asked astonished.

Antonio looked at Scarlett through the front mirror. “I have been by your side for 15 years now, miss. 


I totally understand your thought process, even if you don’t say it or look it, I know it all.” He explained. 


“Besides, I saw you a little stunned when you about to leave the gym. I saw who it was.
