 Backstage, the tension was palpable as the judges wrapped up their discussions. They had reached a consensus on the winners, but the final decision was who would make the announcement. To Ari’s dismay, it was decided that she should be the one to step forward and deliver the news. Her heart sank. She had managed to keep her emotions under control thus far, but standing in front of Leo and announcing his fate? That felt too close, too raw. 


“I’m not sure I’m the right person for this,” Ari offered, trying to mask her reluctance with professionalism. 


One of the senior judges waved her off. “You’re the representative of Reid Enterprises, Arizona. It’s only fitting that you announce the winners. The competition wouldn’t even be possible without your father’s sponsorship.” 


A DECISION UNVEILED
