"Damn it," Marco muttered under his breath. "I should have seen this coming. He's always been manipulative." He paused, deep in thought. "Have you considered going to the authorities?"

"We can't," Ethan interjected, shaking his head. "Darren has connections. He could twist things around to make us look like the villains."

"Then we have to be smarter about this," Marco said, his eyes narrowing in determination. "What's your plan?"

Luca felt a surge of confidence. "I thought we could confront him. Call him out on his threats and put an end to this. Together."

Marco's brows furrowed. "That's risky. If he gets cornered, he might retaliate."

Ethan bit his lip, anxiety washing over him. "But we can't keep living like this, either. The fear of him hanging over us every day... it's suffocating."

Marco regarded them with a mix of admiration and concern. "I understand, but we need a solid strategy. We can't just charge in without knowing what he's capable of."

"I know him better than anyone," Luca replied, his resolve hardening. "I've seen how he operates. If we play our cards right, we can catch him off guard."
