After a night of restful sleep in the luxurious confines of the Golden Barrel Inn, Alaric was ready to face the day. He had a lot on his plate, a delicate balancing act to maintain between his duties for the kingdom and his own personal agenda within the Phantom Assembly.
He was just finishing his breakfast when a knock sounded at his door. He opened it to find Drustan and Kaelith standing there, their expressions serious.
"Good morning, Alaric," Drustan greeted, his voice grave. "We have some information to share with you."
Alaric nodded, gesturing for them to enter. "Come in," he said, his voice calm. "I was just finishing up."
Drustan and Kaelith entered the room, taking seats at the small table near the window. "We've interrogated the auction participants," Drustan began, his voice low. "Including your father."
