Requiem of Vengeance

"Catch him! Quickly!" the leader barked, and the soldiers gave chase, their arrows flying through the air.

Jou ran as fast as he could, his lungs burning with every breath. But soon, they were cornered, surrounded by soldiers. One of the men stepped forward, reaching for Jou, but he fought back, punching the soldier with all his strength. It wasn't enough. The soldier barely flinched before grabbing the boy from Jou's arms and seizing him as well.

The leader approached, his smirk widening.

"Did you really think you could escape from us? Especially with me around? You thought you were a hero or something, didn't you?"

"Master, please let us kill him. Slowly, painfully, Master!" one of the soldiers begged.

"Oh, I plan to make him suffer," the leader said, his voice dripping with malice. "Tie his hands and feet!"

Jou's hands and feet were bound tightly. The leader grinned as he drew his sword.

"Now, I'll kill this boy right in front of your eyes," he sneered.

Jou's heart sank as two soldiers grabbed the boy. The leader raised his sword and, without hesitation, sliced the child in half. Jou screamed in agony, his mind overwhelmed by the horror of what he had just witnessed.

The leader, relishing Jou's suffering, raised his sword again, this time aiming to end Jou's life.

"Now it's your turn!" he said with a twisted grin.

But before he could strike, a dark shadow appeared, moving with blinding speed. A knife clashed against the leader's sword, stopping the attack mid-swing.

The soldiers froze, startled by the sudden appearance of the figure.

"Oh, so it's you... the Dark shadow. I thought you had burned to death in that fire. No matter, I'll kill you along with him now."

One of the soldiers lunged at the Dark shadow, but the shadow was faster, slicing off the soldier's arm with a swift movement. The soldier barely had time to scream before the shadow drove a knife into his skull, killing him instantly. Two more soldiers rushed forward, but the Dark shadow dispatched them just as quickly, their bodies falling lifeless to the ground.

The leader stepped forward, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.

"I've heard so much about you, Dark shadow. Let's see if you're really as strong as they say."
