Chapter 5: Yu Mikami's Unleashed Power

After a quiet night, during breakfast the next day, the door to the Yu Mikami Delegation was pushed open, and Bangnyfe and Sullivan walked in simultaneously.

"Captain Mikami, we've prepared the itinerary for your visit today. Are you ready to go to... hmm? Where's Captain Mikami?"

Sullivan looked around at the gleaming bald heads, including Kisuke Urahara and others, his eyes instinctively widening as he realized that Yu Mikami was nowhere to be seen.

Kisuke Urahara smiled and said, "Captain Mikami has gone out to explore on his own. I'll be in charge of the delegation; you can come to me with any matters."

There stood a tall woman, looking at Nini in disbelief.

"Meixi, what are you doing here?"

Upon seeing this woman, Nini's attitude changed drastically, clearly becoming flustered.

Their loud exclamation naturally drew Yu Mikami's attention. He glanced lightly at the two of them, then walked over to Niihashi and whispered, "What's going on? Who is she?"

Niihashi's expression also held seriousness as she replied, "She is Meixi, a member of Nini's idol group. They are quite close, but the problem is, as far as I know, Meixi is just an ordinary person and shouldn't be here."

"Oh?" Yu Mikami raised an eyebrow, growing somewhat interested.

Meixi stood not far away, looking at Nini with obvious delight, saying, "I'm so happy to see you, Nini! Airi suddenly brought me here, and I was really flustered."

She questioned loudly, taking a deep breath to calm herself and reached out, saying, "Meixi, while we haven't been discovered by the Council yet, give this creature to me, and I'll find a way to help you hide it."

Meixi looked visibly distressed, shaking her head and stepping back. "No, Airi is my partner. I've raised her since she was little; I won't hand her over to anyone."

"Do you understand the severity of the situation?!" Nini grit her teeth in anger.

"Hey, so you all are here; I've been looking for you!"

The sudden voice caused both Nini and Niihashi to freeze in place, and Yu Mikami turned to see Bangnyfe approaching.

"Tsk tsk." Yu Mikami let out a laugh of amusement.

As Bangnyfe hurried over, he quickly noticed Meixi and the dragon beside her.

"Hmm, what's going on?" He frowned as he looked at everyone present, swiftly locking his gaze on Nini and Meixi, scanning between the two.

As the commander of the West Branch's Magical Array Team, he was experienced enough to piece together what was happening almost instantly.

"A dragon keeper? Nini, do you know her?"

Faced with Bangnyfe's question, Nini bit her lip and remained silent.

Bangnyfe snorted coldly, "Not going to answer? That's fine. If you can't take action, step aside, and I'll personally take her into custody."

As he spoke, a surge of overwhelming magical power emanated from him.

The dragon beside Meixi seemed to sense his threat and instantly turned to growl at him.

In the next moment, the dragon shot toward him like a blur. Bangnyfe coldly smirked as his invisible magical power erupted; with a thunderous sound, the gray-white fairy dragon was sent flying out.

Under his magical force, the ground cracked like a spider web.

Seeing this, Yu Mikami lightly stroked his chin and said, "So this is magic? It indeed differs significantly from the Zanpakutō system in Bleach."

While he pondered, Bangnyfe suddenly charged toward Meixi, softly chanting some complex spell as blue magical energy appeared on his fingertips.

Meixi was just an ordinary person and had never witnessed such an event, turning pale with fear.

At that moment, a figure suddenly appeared in front of her, holding a magic tool resembling a small conch shell, held upside down, somewhat similar to a firearm.

With a bang, concentrated magical energy erupted from the tool, causing Bangnyfe to grunt and take three steps back as he raised his hand to defend himself.

It was Nini.

While repelling Bangnyfe, she swiftly moved to Meixi's side, grabbing her arm and leaping onto a nearby small red dragon, flying quickly away.

Niihashi summoned her own white dragon and jumped onto it: "Follow Nini!"

Just as she took off, she suddenly felt a heaviness behind her, as if someone had joined her. Before she could turn around, strong arms had already wrapped around her waist, holding her tightly.

"Hey, how can I be left out of this? Hurry, we need to catch up!"

Hearing Yu Mikami's voice behind her, Niihashi could only comply and maneuver her flying dragon closely behind Nini.

On the ground, Bangnyfe snorted coldly, "Do you really think you can get away?"

With a flick of his hand, he summoned a nearly adult blue dragon that quickly pursued them.

The two sides engaged in a fierce aerial chase until evening, when they finally managed to shake off Bangnyfe.

Meixi and Nini stood on the tower as the sun set and night fell.

Just then, a strange cry echoed, and amidst the glimmering phosphorescence, a gray-white dragon that resembled a fairy emerged.

"Airi!" Meixi noticed immediately.

The moment the dragon appeared, it pounced with its claws, shattering Niihashi's barrier.

"This dragon?" Yu Mikami, standing a short distance away, furrowed his brow. He keenly sensed that this dragon contained an extremely vast energy, as if it were a bundle of explosives ready to go off, drastically different from earlier in the day.

At the instant the barrier broke, the gray-white dragon lunged toward Meixi.

With a loud crash, a bolt of blue lightning struck down.

The gray-white dragon let out a mournful cry, its body flying backward, falling like a shooting star into the distant Inner London.

"Airi!" Meixi shouted, her voice filled with worry.

Bangnyfe, riding his blue dragon, appeared beside them and proclaimed loudly, "Dragon keeper Meixi has committed a grave crime against the Council, carrying a hundred-year sentence. Nini Spangle and Noel Niihashi, as subordinates of the Council, are guilty of harboring her and will be punished equally."

He announced this with authority under the night sky.

"Ahem, Brother Nao, I don't mean to interrupt you, but it doesn't seem like the right time for you to flex your power,"

Yu Mikami coughed lightly, subtly pointing toward the distance.

"Cinderella." Bangnyfe replied solemnly, "Her appearance is identical to that of Cinderella described in the records. She possesses hidden dragon scales, has six claws, and under the moonlight, all we encounter under her feathers will meet destruction."

He turned to Nini and Niihashi, saying, "Your trial is temporarily canceled. Our priority now is to hunt the fairy tale dragon in the Human World. We will join forces to take her down."

He paused slightly to look at Yu Mikami but ultimately couldn't bring himself to ask for help.

First, it involved the face of their West Branch, making it hard for him to speak up.

Second, Yu Mikami had never shown any of his abilities so far; to this point, he had behaved like a reckless young master, and there had been no noticeable fluctuations in his power.

Bangnyfe even thought that he was sent from the East Branch to put on a show—perhaps he was the second generation heir of some wealthy noble family.

"Prepare to move. You two feign an attack while I'll be the main attacker!"

Bangnyfe shouted, and at the same time, Cinderella had completed her transformation. Her wings lifted, and stardust-like powder fell, scattering and exploding upon touching any material, instantly turning the world into a sea of fire.

The explosion rippled out, instantly engulfing both of them. With muffled groans, they, along with their dragon, fell from the sky, injuries all over.

However, the brief time they had bought was enough for Bangnyfe to complete his preparations. His figure instantly appeared above Cinderella.

Reciting a strange incantation loudly, the world seemed to be stained blue. Silently, a colorful magic like oil paint rained down from the sky, wrapping around Cinderella like a canvas.

Breathing heavily, Bangnyfe grinned; this was his strongest attack, a forbidden spell belonging to the Council. Even a fairy tale dragon couldn't possibly withstand it.

Yet before his smile could fully bloom, the terrifying dragon unleashed its power. In the center of the oil painting, beams of icy light appeared, and Cinderella actually tore the painting apart.

Immediately, he noticed countless phosphorescent lights emerging beside him.

The heavens and the earth seemed to shatter like thunder, and Bangnyfe fell from the sky, causing the ground to collapse.

Without any flashy moves or additional techniques, he clenched his fist and brought it down forcefully.

The earth trembled, and the power of that punch seemed to freeze the space within hundreds of miles around, slowing everything down, leaving only that punch.

The sky shattered, and a bolt of lightning split the night in two. Cinderella screamed, but no sound emerged.

Her figure was thrown backward, phosphorescent particles scattering around her. Before she could hit the ground, her dreamlike form had completely vanished.

The three below stared in shock at the scene unfolding before them.
