** Demons, Teleportation, and Awkwardness**
Athena Pov.
The day dragged on at Joe's Diner, and much to my surprise—and disappointment—I hadn't teleported even once. Azazel stayed put in the same corner booth, watching me with an air of demonic indifference, though I could tell he was secretly amused by the fact that I was so desperate for it to happen again. I mean, how many people can say they've accidentally traveled to another realm during a shift at a greasy spoon? It's practically my claim to fame now.
By the time closing rolled around, I was exhausted. My feet ached, my apron was stained with who-knows-what, and I was more than ready to crawl into bed. But as I wiped down the last table, Azazel stood and stretched in a way that made him look completely out of place in this dingy diner. He looked too... grand for it, like a rockstar caught in the wrong setting.
