"Can I stay the night?" Victor's words seemed to pass right through me.
"Huh?"
Did I hear wrong? There is no way he would actually say what I thought he just said.
"Can I... stay the night..?" He said again, more hesitantly, as if unsure of my reaction.
...
He actually said that?!
I nod my head quickly, my neck hurting slightly from the vigorous movement.
"Yes," My voice was slightly hoarse so I repeated, just to make sure he understood. "Yes."
He didn't say anything, just pursed his lips, his gorgeous, kissable lips, and slowly nodded his head.
"Is there a spare blanket?" He said after a while.
He was looking around the small bedroom, a slight furrow in his brow as he took everything in.
...
Or lack of everything more like.
"I don't think we have extra bedding... I remember my flatmate complaining about it before..."
I hesitated before continuing.
"You can... share my bed if you want."
I looked away from him, suddenly finding great interest in the plain wallpaper.
I could feel a blush on my cheeks and I beat myself up internally.
Why did I have to say that? It sounded so bad.
Outside, my face was emotionless, if slightly red; inside, I was crying profusely.
The silence in the room seemed to stretch on and on and with every passing second it seemed to grow more uncomfortable.
At long last Victor spoke.
"Okay. We can share... your bed."
I glanced at him, surprised that he actually agreed, only to be hit with a wave of shock as I saw his face.
Was he...
Blushing?
There was no doubt about it. He was definitely blushing. Not even my messed uo mind could deny the fact.
He was blushing.
My insides felt like they were fangirling over a fictional character and I had to control myself so I wouldn't accidently squeal with excitement.
I somehow managed to not squeak as I replied, feigning a calmness i definitely did not feel.
"Cool. Cool. Do you want some food? I can make dinner. Or we could get a take away. Anything in particular that you want?"
I was rambling. I probably sounded stupid.
He didn't seem to notice, though.
"I don't mind. You pick. I'm fine with anything."
...
"How about a pizza, then?"
"A pizza's fine."
It didn't seem like we were getting anywhere with our 'conversation'.
I pulled out my phone and downloaded a delivery app, hoping they would give discounts for the first delivery.
I clicked on pizza and selected the first option I saw. I went through the ordering process and after about ten minutes, I managed ti place the order.
