Chapter 30: The Dream

As Hazen's world turned silent, only her steady breathing could be heard. Suddenly, her soul left her body and wandered out of the tent, drifting through the forest. Unlike before, the chirping of crickets and hoots of owls were no longer present, making the whole environment eerily quiet and peaceful.

"What's going on? Why am I here? Maybe it's a dream," she muttered, glancing around at her surroundings.

A sudden wind blew, causing Hazen to shiver. As she took a step, her foot slipped, and she crashed to the ground.

"Ah," she exclaimed. But as her hands touched the ground, the quiet scene changed into a ferocious battlefield. The clashing of swords and spears filled the air, and while some warriors fought on, millions of bodies lay lifeless on the ground. Hazen looked closer, her eyes widening in shock.

"What am I doing in such a ferocious battle?!" she muttered, unable to comprehend what she was seeing.
