Attlee glanced at the clothes, then at her, saying. "No problem. You two, what are you still sitting on the floor? Hurry up and bring Grace's stuff in!"
"Sir, one of the maids wanted to say, weren't these things meant to be given to them? Why did he change his mind as soon as he saw Rosemary?"
It was clear that Attlee respected Rosemary quite a bit, even with a hint of deliberate flattery.
The two maids didn't understand what was going on, felt a bit unconvinced, and were about to pick up the clothes and go indoors.
Rosemary said coldly, "Get someone else to do it, I don't like their hands."
"You!" The two maids were so angry they were speechless.
Attlee, however, obeyed and quickly called for someone else to handle it.
"Rose, is this satisfactory to you? You haven't been home in a long time; come in and sit down; I'll have someone prepare your favorite fruit."
