CHAPTER 493

Rosemary was starting to feel better, and upon hearing that Dennis and her brother Clark were about to get into a spat, she decided to intervene. She lightly rapped on the door to Carol's room, and seeing the defensive posture Dennis had taken, she spoke softly, "Go easy on my brother."

"Rosemary, you don't understand." Dennis was about to enlighten Rosemary about Clark's transgressions, but the warning look in her eyes stopped him mid-sentence.

His bravado faltered, and he tried to justify his stance, "He was in the wrong."

Rosemary then turned her gaze to Clark, who, under the pressure, admitted, "It was my fault."

"Talk it out," suggested Rosemary, uninterested in meddling in their affairs.

Leaning against the door, she added casually, "Don't disturb my sleep."
