Poof!
Yagyu hadn't been gone long when a puff of white smoke appeared out of nowhere.
As the smoke cleared, he reappeared in the same spot.
"Yagyu-kun, did something happen?" Temari asked quickly, noticing the serious expression on his face.
"Yes," Yagyu nodded, explaining, "The Hokage urgently summoned me. It must be an important message or a mission."
"I was hoping we'd have a few more days here, but it seems I'll have to cut the visit short," he added apologetically. "I need to head back. Please pass my regards to Gaara."
"Do you need our help?"
"No, it shouldn't be anything major," Yagyu replied, politely declining.
If it was something beyond Konoha's capability to handle, it would likely be an end-of-the-world-level threat to the entire shinobi world.
"I had a wonderful time these past couple of days. Please come to the Leaf Village for a visit when you can," he said with a smile. Then, embracing Temari, he lightly patted her back, causing her to stiffen in surprise before he let go, and then vanished.
A few blinks later, Yagyu reappeared in Konoha, standing beside Tsunade in the Hokage's office.
"Tsunade-nee-san, did you summon me with the Reverse Summoning Technique because of something urgent?" he asked, noticing she was alone and using a familiar tone.
"Yes, did I interrupt your date?" Tsunade nodded, her expression serious. "There's been a significant incident in the Land of Demons. Their Daimyo has requested our help."
She opened a scroll and spread out the text and images before Yagyu, explaining, "Once, a group of demonic creatures nearly destroyed the world. At a critical moment, the Miko Miroku from the Land of Demons sealed the leader, Moryo, along with his ghostly army."
"Now, someone has broken the seal, and Moryo and his army have been resurrected. They're attacking the Land of Demons and aiming to kill the current Miko."
"These creatures are undead puppets with an impenetrable defense, and even if defeated, they revive. Only the Miko can seal them."
"I've already sent Konoha's elite forces to support the Land of Demons. Now I have a crucial task that only you can accomplish."
"Is it to protect this generation's Miko?" Yagyu asked, feeling a flash of understanding.
It explained why he had sensed an immense chakra the other day—it wasn't the revival of the Three-Tails, but the release of Moryo and his ghost army.
"No one else can do it; I need to entrust this mission to you," Tsunade confirmed.
Pointing to the drawings on the scroll, she continued, "Miko Miroku separated Moryo's body and soul, sealing the former in the Land of Swamps and the latter in the Land of Demons."
"It was Moryo's soul that was released. To re-seal him, the Miko must use his physical body as a medium."
"Your mission is not only to protect the current Miko but also to escort her to the Land of Swamps to help her seal Moryo once again."
"I understand," Yagyu nodded. "Do you have a picture of the Miko and her current location?"
"Yes, here you go," Tsunade said, handing him an envelope from the Land of Demons. "As soon as Moryo and his army revived, they aimed to assassinate the Miko."
"This Miko has inherited not only the power to seal demons but also a gift of foresight, so she managed to escape and hide in a shrine somewhere in the Land of Demons."
Yagyu opened the envelope to check the address and photograph inside.
"Huh?"
His expression turned to one of surprise. Putting his hand on Tsunade's shoulder, he held up the picture with the other and said, "Tsunade-nee-san, don't you think this Miko looks a lot like Hinata?"
"Now that you mention it… yes, there's quite a resemblance," Tsunade said, stroking her chin as she studied the photo. "If her hair were black and her eyes white, she could easily pass as Hinata's double."
Noticing another similarity, Tsunade marveled, "Not only that, but their figures are close, too. The likeness is uncanny!"
She then teased, "You're not thinking of bringing back a Miko, are you?"
"What are you talking about?" Yagyu feigned disappointment, shaking his head with a wounded look. "Is that really how lowly you think of me?"
"What else am I supposed to think?" Tsunade shot back with a grin. "I know all about how you're 'taking care' of Yakumo, despite what you tell Kurenai."
Yagyu nearly choked on his own saliva and coughed. "Tsunade-nee-san, you've become a peeper just like the Third Hokage, using the Crystal Ball Jutsu!"
"Hah…," Tsunade's cheeks flushed slightly, but she shot back with a smirk, "With your sensory abilities, you'd know if I were watching you, unless you were too distracted. And who told you to go around doing those things?"
"Getting into that sort of trouble at such a young age—are you in need of some medicine, dear little brother?"
Before Tsunade finished her sentence, Yagyu vanished, making a hasty retreat.
"Hmph, thinking he can beat me," she huffed, looking smug like a rooster that had just won a fight.
"Old ladies can be terrifying. Those words came out so easily," Yagyu muttered, now appearing on a cliff with a sheepish smile.
He turned to face the mountain range in the distance and disappeared once again.
In a few leaps, he crossed the Land of Fire, the Land of Rain, and the Land of Birds, arriving in the Land of Bears.
The Land of Demons lay to the northwest of the Land of Fire, nestled between the Land of Snow, the Land of Earth, and the Land of Bears.
For a typical Konoha shinobi, reaching the Land of Demons even at full speed would take at least two or three days.
But with a few flickers, Yagyu was there in no time, crossing several small countries in an instant to reach the Land of Demons.
Such was the power of the Flying Thunder God Technique, one of the three ultimate jutsu of Shippuden, renowned for being both unstoppable and incredibly practical.
In terms of transportation, only Obito Uchiha with both Mangekyo eyes could rival this speed.
Since learning Flying Thunder God, Yagyu had instructed his Wood Clones scattered across the shinobi world to leave teleportation seals in hidden spots everywhere.
Now, with his Flying Thunder God seals scattered across the continents, Yagyu could visit any country in just a few blinks, and within a day, he could travel across the entire shinobi world.
Like Obito Uchiha, Yagyu could go anywhere he pleased.
Coupled with the Mayfly Technique, which allowed him to mask his presence, no barrier could stop him.
Unless someone could transport him to another dimension instantly, no one could trap Yagyu.
In terms of maneuverability, he now stood invincible.
