"Gulp…"
Raising their heads to gaze at the full-body Susanoo looming like a colossal mountain, the four elders of Konoha couldn't help but swallow nervously. Their pupils shrank to the extreme.
Even Hiruzen Sarutobi—who, by using a White Zetsu clone as a sacrifice, had an immortal body and infinite chakra and could thus exhibit strength close to his prime—was no exception.
With a trembling voice, Koharu Utatane said, "Th-this… is this Susanoo as well? Can such power really exist?"
"Perhaps… this is the true form of Susanoo." Despair filled the eyes of Homura Mitokado. He spoke slowly, "Only a Susanoo like this could stand on equal footing with Lord Hashirama. Such a power alone deserves the title 'symbol of destruction, from which one cannot escape death after witnessing it once.'"
Danzo Shimura remained silent. He simply removed the bandages on his arm, revealing a white limb studded with ten three-tomoe Sharingan.
Uchiha Sasuke noticed this immediately.
Black energy emanated from his entire body; murderous intent radiated in his voice: "That bastard… Not only did he steal Brother Shisui's right eye, but he also has so many Sharingan. Did he target the Uchiha clan just to harvest them?"
"Relax. He'll be dying soon," said Uchiha Hikari in a chilling tone, arms crossed.
As if in response to Hikari's words, the full-body Susanoo suddenly moved, slowly drawing the massive katana at its waist.
"Spread out—now! I'll buy you some time!"
Realizing what was happening, Hiruzen Sarutobi cried out hastily, forming hand seals with both hands. "Shadow Clone Technique!"
With a puff of white smoke, four shadow clones appeared on either side of Hiruzen Sarutobi.
Almost as if they could tell what Hiruzen was planning, Danzo and his two companions vanished in a flash without hesitation.
"Five-Style Great Combo Technique!"
Forming a line, Hiruzen Sarutobi and his shadow clones unleashed their strongest secret art at the full-body Susanoo.
Five different types of chakra, each a different color, spewed from Hiruzen and his clones' mouths. They quickly fused together into a flickering, five-colored orb of energy. It blossomed like fireworks, unleashing a thunderous explosion that reverberated through the entirety of Konoha.
At that same moment, the full-body Susanoo clutched its enormous sword with both hands and brought it crashing down.
Boom—!
The chakra-forged blade of Yin Release collided with the explosive force formed by the five combined chakra natures. The detonation of the orb thundered out, generating a colossal mushroom cloud that engulfed even the hundred-meter-tall Susanoo in an instant.
Rip—!
Yet in the very next second, a noise like tearing cloth followed right behind.
A gigantic crimson slash burst forth from within the mushroom cloud, carving an unfathomably deep ravine across Konoha. It demolished building after building, swallowing up the Konoha F4's clansmen who stood in its path, before finally crashing against the Hokage Rock where Yagyu stood.
Moreover, that huge crimson slash promptly shattered the Hokage Rock, splitting the mountain and its forested summit in two.
Once the red slash dissipated, a massive gorge extended from the Sarutobi clan territory in central Konoha all the way to the Hokage Rock, effectively bisecting the mountain.
And that was merely a downward strike!
Had it been a horizontal slice, Yagyu had no doubt that the full-body Susanoo's slash could have obliterated half of Konoha in an instant, neatly decapitating the mountain that held the Hokage Rock.
After all, the slicing power of a complete Susanoo was even more outrageous than the sword strikes of top-tier swordsmen in the world of One Piece, and surpassed even the explosion of a Tailed Beast Bomb—enough to lop off several mountain peaks at once.
"Tsk… A weakened version of Tsukuyomi plus something like a watered-down Advent of the World of Trees for chakra absorption—this exclusive dojutsu is still just at the Mangekyō Sharingan level? Makes perfect sense that it can rival Kamui as one of the strongest Mangekyō."
As the mushroom cloud began to fade, revealing the crimson full-body Susanoo beneath, Yagyu clicked his tongue in amazement.
Indeed, several Mangekyō Sharingan techniques rival the Rinnegan's exclusive powers—and can even be more practical.
For example, Uchiha Shisui's Kotoamatsukami, a pivotal key in the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Still, the Mangekyō ability with the most fearsome display is Uchiha Obito's Kamui.
Even a pair of non-Eternal Mangekyō eyes could wound the progenitor of chakra, achieving unrivaled offense and defense.
But now, Uchiha Hikari's "Eight Thousand Spears" is by no means inferior to Kotoamatsukami or Kamui. In fact, in terms of strategic deterrence, it may surpass them both.
After all, the inscribed Tsukuyomi that ignores all barriers, the ability to manipulate another's mind, and the power to absorb another's chakra for oneself are downright domineering.
And being able to manifest a full-body Susanoo at just twelve years old is truly a feat unmatched in the annals of history.
If Indra's chakra could reincarnate into a female descendant, Yagyu was certain that Hikari would be that generation's Indra incarnate.
Before long, the mushroom cloud dispersed entirely, revealing the damaged Susanoo. Although Hiruzen Sarutobi's strongest ultimate move had blown off one of Susanoo's legs, Yin Release chakra swiftly re-formed skeletal tissue, and in the blink of an eye, a new limb took shape.
Furthermore, the chakra to restore it came from the clansmen of Konoha F4 below.
Meanwhile, Hiruzen Sarutobi and his shadow clones were gone without a trace.
Along with his chakra, they vanished altogether—proof that Hiruzen had perished under Susanoo's blade before he could revive.
"Amaterasu!"
After restoring Susanoo, Uchiha Hikari suddenly felt a trail of bloody tears slide down the corner of her eye.
Her potent ocular power manifested as inextinguishable black flames on Susanoo's colossal sword.
Then, the hundred-meter-tall Susanoo kneeled on one leg, sweeping its sword horizontally.
Boom—!
In the blink of an eye, a giant crimson half-moon of energy destroyed half of Konoha. It further halved the already-bisected mountain of the Hokage Rock, quartering it into four pieces.
Unlike the prior vertical slash, this horizontal sweep not only destroyed all the buildings in its path—it left a wide swath of black flames in its wake. Half of Konoha was swallowed by a sea of black fire.
"Ahhhh…"
Under Kagutsuchi's command, the black inferno spread evenly, flooding every corner. Any of the Konoha F4's clansmen who had been hiding, or lying paralyzed or unconscious from being drained of chakra, were all consumed. They perished in the flames' merciless embrace.
Their pitiful screams rang out, then faded away. Their voices, bodies, and remains alike vanished into ash.
No distinction of age or gender, no mercy whether strong or weak—every F4 clansman and Root ninja engulfed by the black flames was instantly slaughtered.
Among them were Danzo's personal guards, elite jōnin like Aburame Torune, Aburame Ryōma, and Yamanaka Fū, as well as the rising talent Sai—and even Konohamaru and Asuma Sarutobi… plus Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado.
Unfortunately, as they fled, they instinctively headed toward the Hokage Rock shelters, running right into Susanoo's range.
With merely two sword swings, Uchiha Hikari had annihilated most of Konoha F4 and Root.
Out of more than two thousand people, scarcely a couple hundred still breathed.
Even Danzo Shimura was caught in the black flames and crushing slash. He narrowly escaped by activating Izanagi an instant before it hit, nullifying his demise.
"Damn it, I'll kill you all!!!"
At last, motes of white dust reconstituted Hiruzen Sarutobi's cracked Edo Tensei body. Newly resurrected, he immediately sensed that Asuma's and Konohamaru's chakras had vanished.
The instant he realized he had lost his younger son and grandson—on top of his already deceased eldest son and daughter-in-law—Hiruzen, left with no successors, descended into madness.
Eyes brimming with murderous intent, he looked up at Uchiha Hikari and Uchiha Sasuke on Susanoo's forehead, and roared furiously with a savage expression.
Seeing Hiruzen at his breaking point, Sasuke—who moments before had been awestruck by Hikari's power—felt a wave of satisfaction. Black energy poured off him as he gave a vicious grin. "Seems you've tasted my pain too! How does it feel to lose your loved ones and your clan? Not so good, is it?!"
Hiruzen spoke no more. He quickly formed hand seals, pressed his palms together, and bellowed: "Sealing Technique—Reaper Dea—"
He didn't even finish naming the jutsu. Trying to gamble his soul to summon the Shinigami, Hiruzen's body abruptly froze, unable to move.
Looking down, he saw branches tightening around his legs, black runic markings steadily creeping across his flesh.
In that instant, he grasped the truth. Eyes practically bulging from their sockets, he shouted, "Yagyu— it's you!!!"
"Indeed, it's me."
A mild voice reached his ears. Hiruzen rolled his eyes downward, spotting a tall silhouette by Susanoo's right foot. He couldn't even tell when the man had appeared.
"Why…?"
Eyes full of hate, Hiruzen glared at Yagyu and yelled, "I've never offended you. Why would you do this to me and my people?"
"You're right. You haven't personally wronged me," Yagyu said with a small nod, though his smile carried a chilling edge. "But likewise, many of those who were sacrificed by you and your fellow elders never did anything to offend you. Yet you all deemed them obstacles and cleared them away."
"Well, the same logic applies here. You old relics would only stand in the way of Lady Tsunade—and me—when I take over as the Sixth Hokage."
"To stop future troubles—be they new 'elders' popping up, or you playing dirty tricks behind the scenes—I've chosen to eliminate you all early."
Hiruzen's features twisted as he raged, "You bastard! You'll face your judgment for this!"
"And the one facing judgment now is you."
Uchiha Sasuke's cold voice cut in.
At some point, the full-body Susanoo had vanished. Sasuke and Hikari appeared on Yagyu's right and left.
Seeing this old man insulting her beloved onii-chan, Hikari's eyes gleamed with cold hostility. "Your clan isn't entirely wiped out yet. I'll make you slaughter the remainder yourself!"
With that, she prepared to activate her Eight Thousand Spears to seize control of Hiruzen's mind.
Just then, a hand reached out and stopped her.
Yagyu smiled. "Hikari, no need to waste your ocular power on a walking corpse. Allow me to send him off."
Whoosh—
Drawing the Kusanagi Blade from Sasuke's waist in a fluid motion, Yagyu swung lightly from Hiruzen's right shoulder to his left hip, cleaving his body in two.
"Sou… soul… attack… you…"
Hiruzen's Edo Tensei form, sliced at the waist, suddenly felt pain beyond anything he had experienced in life. Though an undead body should be numb, he now felt unprecedented agony.
Knowing much about every jutsu, Hiruzen instantly realized what had transpired. Eyes wide, he stared up at Yagyu—who now loomed over him. With unwillingness and hatred burning in his gaze, his body dissolved into countless motes of white dust, disappearing entirely from existence.
He neither returned to the living world nor crossed to the realm of the dead; he was simply obliterated.
If someone were to remove the special contact lenses Yagyu wore, they would see that his pupils had transformed into a black lotus.
This was Yagyu's Mangekyō Sharingan.
Unlike Uchiha Sasuke and Uchiha Hikari—whose awakened Mangekyō bled tears and exuded a distinct Yin Release chakra—activating Yagyu's Mangekyō and using his exclusive dojutsu did not produce any outward special chakra aura.
Like Obito, unless he chose to reveal it, only someone vastly stronger or with sensory abilities surpassing even the Byakugan or Sage Mode could perceive it.
And that exclusive Mangekyō dojutsu of Yagyu's was called Yomi.
Just like Uchiha Shisui's Kotoamatsukami, Uchiha Obito's Kamui, or Uchiha Hikari's Eight Thousand Spears, Yagyu's dojutsu bears only one name, though his right and left eyes use it in different ways.
Everyone knows that when a Mangekyō dojutsu has only one name yet boasts two functions, it's extremely overpowered—enough to affect even Six Paths–level foes, effectively making it unstoppable.
If named in a similar style to Kotoamatsukami's subdivisions, Yagyu's right eye could be called Yomi: Annihilation.
As the name implies, it obliterates the enemy's soul.
If Yagyu slices off a foe's limb, it's akin to being blasted by a Truth-Seeking Ball—one loses part of one's soul along with the severed part.
If he cuts them clean in half, that soul suffers lethal damage. Perhaps a powerful soul might persist, but a weaker one would be erased on the spot.
Meanwhile, Yagyu's left eye could be called Yomi: Devour.
As the name suggests, it devours the souls of others, converting them into pure soul energy stored within his eye—fuel for Yomi: Annihilation.
Every one of Yagyu's soul attacks expends a portion of devoured soul energy to strike the opponent's spirit.
Beyond its offensive use, the devoured souls serve another purpose:
They act as a substitute for death, much like Izanagi or an extra life!
The only limit is that Yagyu can hold only as many souls as there are petals on the black lotus in his eye.
In his Mangekyō, that lotus has nine petals.
Hence, he can perform up to nine soul attacks or come back to life up to nine times—though he can replenish these soul "slots" by devouring more as needed.
Yagyu was immensely satisfied with this dojutsu. At present, his greatest hypothetical enemy was the Sage of Six Paths himself—a being so interwoven with the world's will that he could roam freely between the living and the dead.
With this power, once Yagyu reached the Six Paths level, he would feel no fear toward the Sage of Six Paths.
