Yui began gasping as she realized what laid in store for them. However, Rentaro's hand still comforted her a bit as his reaction was somewhat neutral.
"Do you trust me?" Rentaro asked.
For a moment she was hesitant, however given the situation there were in she didn't have much of a choice.
"I trust you." She answered, though her voice carried a trace of uncertainty and unease.
Without breaking eye contact, Rentaro stepped forward, his gaze fixated at the opening of the cave.
He knows that the only way to get through this and turn the tide in their favor is a dangerous, drastic move—a calculated risk.
"Alright then." He murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
Before Yui can protest, Rentaro abruptly lets his daggers fall to the ground with a clatter, raising his hands in a gesture of surrender.
