Chapter 33: Fujitora’s Smile

Pushing open the door, Vivian walked straight into the casino, having already changed into casual clothes. With a cigar in his mouth and his hands in his pockets, he strutted in front like Doflamingo.

Behind him, Tashigi and Kuto flanked him on either side, dressed in black suits, each wearing a pair of glasses—one red, one silver—and with swords at their waists, looking very much like bodyguards.

"Shhh~~~ Hoo!"

Blowing out a smoke ring, Vivian pulled out a large bag of Berries from his pocket and threw it on the counter. "Exchange all of this for chips."

"Alright, please wait a moment." the receptionist replied, her voice as soft as velvet. She smiled slightly, her lips a delicate curve, then turned around. Her hips swayed gently as she searched the cabinet for the corresponding value of chips.

Before long…

"Here you go, sir," she said, turning back to him, her eyes sparkling. "These are your chips, totaling three million Berries. After deducting a ten percent venue fee, you have two million seven hundred thousand Berries left. Please check."

"Shhh~~ No need to check."

Vivian waved his hand, picked up a chip worth one hundred thousand Berries, and accurately tossed it into the receptionist's half-open neckline.

"Take it as a tip, darling."

The chip slipped in, brushing against her skin, and she gasped softly at the unexpected touch.

With that, he winked and walked away, leaving the receptionist blushing under his intense gaze.

Kuto and Tashigi stood there, looking at each other.

"Vivian… is he really as introverted and unwilling to interact with people as you said?" Kuto questioned.

But Tashigi didn't hear a word, muttering to herself.

"Vivian… actually called her darling?"

Do they know each other?

Could this woman who exchanged chips for Vivian have known him for a long time?

Does Vivian like this type?

Thinking this, Tashigi couldn't help but carefully observe the woman's appearance.

She was indeed quite beautiful, with a large chest, at least much larger than her own…

Is that the reason?

"I lost…" Tashigi suddenly lowered her head in frustration.

"What do you mean you lost?" Kuto looked at her, puzzled.

Meanwhile…

Vivian placed a bet of two hundred thousand on "small." Soon, the dice cup was opened, showing 2-2-3, which was indeed small. Vivian immediately won another two hundred thousand.

And that wasn't all. In less than thirty minutes, Vivian easily doubled the three million Berries he had exchanged. Seeing the nearly ten million Berries worth of chips piled on the table, Kuto and Tashigi couldn't help but gape, their gazes at Vivian growing increasingly strange.

This guy…

He must have gambled a lot before, right?

"So… Vivian is a gambler…"

But a gambler with such good skills shouldn't be considered a flaw, right?

Tashigi thought to herself.

In fact, Vivian's winnings weren't due to gambling skills.

There were no techniques involved; he relied entirely on luck.

Vivian had always had good luck with gambling, something he knew from his previous life. But even so, he never liked gambling, always thinking it was something that consumed his lifespan. After all, he had always had a simple wish: to live a long life.

Just as Vivian was winning, a few men who had been watching him for a while suddenly approached, tapping his shoulder. "Hey, kid, you look new here. First time gambling here?"

"Who are you?"

Vivian glanced sideways, seeing a very short man, about 1.6 meters tall, with a face full of pockmarks. Their faces were less than ten centimeters apart, and after about five seconds of staring…

"Ugh!" Vivian retched.

Short man: ???

"What do you mean?"

"How dare you insult our boss!"

"Brothers, get him!"

The group of men behind the short man all drew their weapons.

Vivian was stunned when he heard this.

"Wait… what did they just call you? Boss?"

"Why, is there a problem?"

The short man pulled out a flintlock pistol from his coat and pointed it at Vivian's head.

Vivian: "…"

He gave a look to Tashigi and Kuto, then quickly raised his hands and said, "No problem at all… So, you're Jack?"

"Harold Jack, the infamous gang leader in this Grand Line, a terrifying man who controls as many as eleven islands!"

The underlings all shouted at Vivian with fierce expressions.

"Harold Jack?"

So he really is called Jack.

Fortunately, he's not Jack the Drought, otherwise Vivian would have had no choice but to abandon this follow-up mission.

"What, kid, have you heard of my name? Scared, right?" Jack put his hand on Vivian's shoulder.

The two stared at each other for a moment. Vivian, disgusted by Jack's ugly face, kept thinking about punching him.

But after a while, no options appeared, which made Vivian a bit puzzled.

"Huh?"

Could it be that this Harold Jack guy poses no threat to him?

Vivian was a bit confused.

"So, what's the difficulty of this follow-up mission?"

He frowned, overturning all his previous assumptions and started thinking again.

"Hey, I'm talking to you, did you hear me, you little punk?" Seeing that Vivian was ignoring him, the short Jack got angry and grabbed Vivian's collar.

Vivian extinguished the cigar in his mouth with his fingers, blew out a smoke ring, and flexed his hand joints, ready to punch Jack in the face. But just then…

"Alright, you old man, trying to renege on your debt?"

"If you can't pay, don't gamble."

"You guys, go teach this guy a lesson."

The noise came from a gambling table in the corner.

Vivian looked over and saw a middle-aged man with short black hair, a mustache, wearing a kimono and wooden clogs, holding a wooden cane, surrounded by several casino staff.

Through the gaps in the crowd, when Vivian saw the "X" shaped scars extending from the man's forehead, he couldn't hold back.

"Fujitora?!"

Damn, he actually ran into Fujitora in a casino?

He was shocked.

[Option 1: Stand by and watch. (Reward: Random skill experience +1)]

[Option 2: Lend a hand and help Fujitora clear out the thugs. (Reward: Random basic attribute +1)]

Two options suddenly appeared in front of Vivian.
