The Pureness of Healing

Lin Zhong Injured

Pureness Medical Hall.

Yang Fan raised his head slightly, a glint of brilliance flashing in his eyes as they fixated upon the signboard. A joyful smile spread across his face.

"I never expected that during my absence of a month and a half, Lin Zhong would have already established this medical hall…"

He leapt off his horse and stood by the roadside, surveying Pureness Medical Hall before him.

The clinic was impressively spacious, situated in the prime area of Wuliu Town, merely a hundred paces from Yang Fan's home.

Inside, the ambiance was more refined and elegant than that of an ordinary clinic. The expansive hall housed seven or eight large medicinal cabinets, two or three physicians, a shopkeeper, and a handful of apprentices busily tending to various tasks.

The walls were adorned with exquisite landscape paintings and calligraphy, while the corners of the room displayed fragrant blossoms and herbs, exuding an aura of sophistication.

Overall, the medical hall conveyed an atmosphere of simplicity and grace, with the artistic decor and rare flora lending it a hint of ethereal charm.

Yang Fan's first impression was one of immense satisfaction—far beyond his expectations.

Establishing such a clinic must have demanded a staggering sum of money; even if he were to empty his family's coffers, it would scarcely suffice. It was evident that Lin Zhong had invested considerable effort and care into this establishment.

The name "Pureness Medical Hall" had been mutually agreed upon by Yang Fan and Lin Zhong prior to his departure. The reasoning behind this name stemmed from the principle of universal love espoused in Yang Fan's **Xianhong Decision**, embodying the noble virtues of a healer.

After a moment of admiration, Yang Fan felt an unsettling dissonance:

This vast medical hall was eerily devoid of patients. Despite its elegance, the emptiness created a sense of desolation.

"What on earth is happening here?"

Yang Fan was taken aback; he distinctly remembered that Wuliu Town once had a thriving medical hall, bustling with patrons. Yet now, why was his own "Pureness Medical Hall" so woefully neglected?

There had to be something amiss!

His gaze shifted, scanning the surroundings of Wuliu Town.

Soon, he spotted a much larger medical hall across the street, its sign emblazoned with the words: **Xianren Pharmacy.**

This hall was teeming with activity, a constant stream of customers flooding in and out, with the physicians and apprentices inside struggling to keep pace.

**Xianren Pharmacy?**

When had this establishment sprung up?

Yang Fan's brow furrowed as he stepped into his own **Pureness Medical Hall**.

As soon as he crossed the threshold, an eager apprentice approached him. "What brings you here, young sir? Are you seeking treatment?"

Yang Fan, however, replied coolly, "Who is the owner of this medical hall?"

The apprentice paused, momentarily taken aback by Yang Fan's dignified presence. He quickly composed himself and responded politely, "This hall has just opened for a month. I hear that the principal owner is Young Master Yang, currently overseen by Master Lin."

Master Lin—was that not Lin Zhong?

Yang Fan continued his inquiry. "Why is the business here so lackluster? Where is Lin Zhong?"

The apprentice hesitated, sensing the weight in Yang Fan's tone, before answering, "He has been injured and is recovering at home."

"Please ensure this hall is well guarded. I shall return shortly to investigate who dares to meddle with my establishment," Yang Fan declared, a flicker of determination gleaming in his eyes.

With that, he exited the clinic, disregarding the horse he had ridden, and hurried toward Lin Zhong's residence.

Previously, Lin Zhong had purchased a secluded estate in Wuliu Town. Familiar with the path, Yang Fan made his way swiftly to Lin Zhong's home.

Upon arrival, a few servants and maids recognized him and allowed him to pass without hindrance.

In a few strides, Yang Fan reached the secret chamber where Lin Zhong was recuperating.

"Who goes there?" a cautious voice called from within.

"It's me," Yang Fan replied softly.

"You've returned!" Lin Zhong's voice was laced with surprise and relief.

Moments later, the barrier at the entrance was lowered, and Yang Fan entered to find Lin Zhong, a youth with a pallid complexion, reclining on a soft couch, his body wrapped in bandages.

Upon seeing Yang Fan, a glimmer of joy broke through Lin Zhong's otherwise dim expression.

"Yes, I'm back. I was delayed by some matters outside," Yang Fan said, his voice low as he approached Lin Zhong, placing a hand upon him to assess his injuries.

Lin Zhong looked at Yang Fan, feeling a significant shift in his aura and finding it hard to believe. "You've entered the… Qi Refining Stage…"

In just a month and a half apart, Lin Zhong had been far stronger than an ordinary mortal, yet now, the transformation Yang Fan had undergone seemed almost miraculous.

"I encountered some opportunities while I was away, and considering my previous experience and understanding of the path, entering the Qi Refining Stage isn't too extraordinary," Yang Fan replied calmly, having discerned Lin Zhong's condition.

Lin Zhong bore multiple external injuries; several ribs were broken, and one arm and leg had suffered fractures of varying severity. Moreover, Lin Zhong had sustained internal injuries, his energy channels weakened.

"Who did this to you?"

Yang Fan's expression darkened suddenly, realizing the cruelty of the attack. It was clear that even an ordinary cultivator would take at least a year to recover from such severe wounds.

Lin Zhong's face contorted with anguish and resentment as he breathed heavily. "The primary culprit is the chubby Li from Yangjiabao…"

"Chubby Li?"

Yang Fan's face twisted in revulsion upon hearing the name.

Chubby Li was the pampered grandson of the patriarch of the Yang family in Nanling, known for his meager abilities yet notorious for his bullying.

Previously, Yang Fan had held no interest in provoking this brat, but after Chubby Li had taken a fancy to his younger sister Yang Huixin during a visit to Wuliu Town, Yang Fan had given him a severe reprimand. At that time, as the family's most talented individual, Chubby Li had been forced to endure in silence.

"But that's not all… there's also the 'Xianren Pharmacy' and the rogue healer… Hu Bansian…"

Lin Zhong's gaze darkened with hatred as he continued, "Hu Bansian was a wandering cultivator, but he colluded with Chubby Li and sought to suppress our **Pureness Medical Hall**."

Yang Fan, maintaining his composure, activated his **Rain Dew Technique** and **Jade Bone Technique**, asking, "What triggered these events?"

Lin Zhong gritted his teeth as he recounted, "About a month ago, Miss Huixin was assisting in the clinic when Chubby Li happened to visit Wuliu Town, seemingly to provoke you. Upon seeing Miss Huixin, he immediately took a liking to her. I confronted him fiercely, even willing to fight to the death to repel him. For a time, Chubby Li seemed deterred, especially when the second son of the Yang family, Yang Lei, returned home, intimidating him away from Miss Huixin."

"However, I had already offended Chubby Li, who then joined forces with Hu Bansian and the town's magistrate to conspire against **Pureness Medical Hall**. A few days ago, I was ambushed by Chubby Li and Hu Bansian, sustaining these grievous injuries. It will likely take at least a year for me to recover…"

Lin Zhong recounted the events to Yang Fan in detail.

"Unthinkable!"

Yang Fan's eyes sparkled with determination as he stood, fists clenched, his expression icy. "Chubby Li… how dare he harm my family and friends…"

Lin Zhong was about to speak when he suddenly froze, his eyes widening in astonishment as he waved his arm. He even managed to rise to his feet, his face lighting up with joy. "My injuries… have remarkably improved!"

In a miraculous turn of events, aside from lingering internal damage, all his external wounds and fractures had nearly healed.

This was nothing short of a miracle!
