Lin Yu Leaks Secrets

"Lin Jie, are you truly certain that 'Fairy Yun' will arrive in Kyoto at Han Yuan Mountain in just a few months?"

Yang Fan felt a jolt in his heart at the sound of the familiar voice. Glancing through the corner of his eye, he quickly recognized the figure—it was none other than Yang Yu.

A sense of astonishment washed over Yang Fan. "Why must I encounter this boy wherever I go? Am I fated to have a grudge against him?"

The first meeting with Yang Yu occurred during the 'Wen Tian Conference' at Yang Family Castle, where the youth had exuded an air of arrogance and pride. Their second encounter took place at the Xiuyu Pavilion's cultivation market, where Yang Fan had transformed his appearance with a disguise technique, and Yang Yu had failed to recognize him.

Now, on the Han Yuan Mountain, thousands of miles away in Kyoto, they crossed paths once more. In less than two years, this was their third meeting—either it was a twist of fate or an omen of enmity.

Beside Yang Yu stood a graceful young woman, her back turned to Yang Fan. However, upon hearing the words "Lin Jie," he instantly deduced her identity.

Lin Jie was indeed **Xi's** senior sister, the daughter of the Lin family in Kyoto, and Yang Fan had encountered her several times. On the mountain path, she had given him a "Scarlet Poison Pill," later advising him to abandon any thoughts regarding **Xi**.

"Shh... lower your voice! Why would I deceive you?" Lin Yu cautioned, her expression marked with prudence. "I gleaned this information from my junior sister with great difficulty, through indirect inquiries."

Yang Yu raised an eyebrow, sensing something amiss. "Might I ask what brings Fairy Yun to Han Yuan Mountain, and with whom does she intend to meet? Could it be that she is meeting someone in secret?"

"That... Lin Jie truly cannot disclose that. My junior sister is astute; should I reveal anything, she will undoubtedly infer certain clues from it later on." Lin Yu shook her head, refusing to divulge further details.

"Could it be that the person whom Fairy Yun is meeting is some extraordinary talent from the cultivation realm?" Yang Yu asked, his expression unwilling to relent.

"Well, he isn't exactly a big shot, and you have indeed met him before; it's just that this person has captured my junior sister's favor, far exceeding the common folk." Lin Yu sighed softly.

"I've met him?" Yang Yu frowned, struggling to recall any such individual.

"Lin Jie can only share this much. Please, do not press further…" Lin Yu, feeling somewhat helpless, shifted the conversation. "Why don't we visit the protector of 'Qing Yuan Temple,' the 'Xuanzhen Monk'? He has some connections with my father."

"Xuanzhen Monk? Excellent! I've long heard of his renowned reputation, and I am most curious about his extraordinary Buddhist teachings," Yang Yu responded with a faint smile, seemingly brushing off their earlier conversation, though a glint of menace flickered in his eyes.

The two continued to chat amiably, making their way deeper into Qing Yuan Temple until they eventually vanished from sight.

Whoosh!

A figure materialized in the spot where they had been conversing—a young man appeared.

It was Yang Fan.

He had been lurking nearby, eavesdropping on their exchange.

"It seems that my rendezvous with **Xi** in a few months may not unfold peacefully…" Yang Fan's eyes glinted with a strange light. He hadn't anticipated that Lin Yu's presence would lead to the disclosure of his secret meeting with **Xi**, resulting in unimaginable consequences.

After pondering for a long while, Yang Fan sighed softly, muttering to himself, "There are still several months left; I must make adequate preparations. If the clinic can be established smoothly, this time will surely be enough for my cultivation to advance considerably."

Once the clinic opened successfully, in the bustling realm of Kyoto, where countless cultivators resided, Yang Fan knew that his skills would undoubtedly progress rapidly.

That day, Yang Fan wandered through Han Yuan Mountain for most of the day. Though his demeanor appeared casual, he had thoroughly familiarized himself with the geographical layout of the entire mountain.

As the sun began to set, Yang Fan descended from the mountain and reached the foot, where he found the little princess and Cheng Yunfei wearing anxious expressions.

"Doctor Yang, you've finally returned!" Both the little princess and Cheng Yunfei exhaled in relief.

"Let's head back to the royal residence; we'll continue our outing tomorrow," Yang Fan said casually.

"That's wonderful!" The little princess cheered with delight, and Cheng Yunfei's face lit up with joy.

As the three of them sat in the carriage, the sun dipped low, casting shadows as the sky darkened, while the little princess chattered away, excitedly recounting her day.

"Doctor Yang, you didn't see… that old beggar who insulted Guanyin, provoking the deities and getting beaten by the townsfolk?"

During this time, the little princess also mentioned the incident involving the old beggar and the deities.

"Is that so?" Yang Fan inquired, his curiosity piqued, though secretly amused.

"Didn't Doctor Yang see the thunder in the sky? That was divine punishment from the gods!" the little princess pouted.

"Thunder? Of course I saw it," Yang Fan replied nonchalantly. "But the snow didn't strike anyone; how could it be considered divine punishment?"

"Um…" The little princess hesitated, unsure how to counter his argument.

"Whether it's divine punishment, I cannot say," Cheng Yunfei added thoughtfully. "However, it is peculiar; I've heard that the old beggar had a large silver ingot in his possession that made people envious. I suspect someone must have instigated him."

"Indeed, the world is vast, and all kinds of birds exist," Yang Fan changed the subject. "Tomorrow, you both should take me to see the most famous clinics in Kyoto."

"Clinics? What's so interesting about that?" The little princess frowned.

Cheng Yunfei's eyes brightened. "Doctor Yang possesses extraordinary medical skills. Are you planning to open a clinic in Kyoto?"

Previously at "Cui Wei Residence," he had overheard Yang Fan mention this matter; opening a clinic was indeed his ultimate goal in Kyoto.

"Opening a clinic? Hehe, that sounds like a lot of fun!" The little princess's expression brightened again, her eyes sparkling. "Doctor Yang's medical skills are so marvelous, and you possess the secret of beauty; perhaps you'll become renowned in Kyoto!"

When she spoke the words "secret of beauty," the little princess was filled with excitement.

"Steady yourself," Yang Fan replied calmly. "Beauty… that's not within a doctor's duty."

"Ah…" The little princess's face paled, quickly nodding. "Yes, yes, yes."

As night descended, the three returned to the royal residence.

Upon their arrival, the old steward promptly approached Yang Fan, respectfully saying, "Today, the prince is hosting a banquet to celebrate the second princess's recovery, and you are invited, Doctor Yang." With that, he presented an invitation.

"Very well, I shall attend on time," Yang Fan replied, a glimmer of intrigue flickering in his eyes. He mused, "It seems that the Yan Prince is preparing to extend an olive branch."

If the Yan Prince truly had good intentions… a plan suddenly surfaced in Yang Fan's mind.

Opening a clinic is a solitary endeavor, and relying solely on one's own strength is often limited, especially when managing worldly affairs can be quite challenging. However, if he could leverage the immense influence of the Yan Prince's residence, the situation would be entirely different.

That evening, the royal residence was ablaze with lights and bustling with activity. Although only a few guests were officially invited, various influential figures from the secular world in Kyoto, upon hearing of the event, arrived unbidden, bringing lavish gifts.

Observing this scene, Yang Fan felt the profound status of the Yan Prince's residence within the secular realm of Kyoto.

At this moment, he was situated in the guest room of the royal residence, "Xin Ning Pavilion," tinkering with various items. His goal was to prepare for the upcoming rendezvous at Han Yuan Mountain in a few months, which included various toxins and other components.

"It appears I need to carve out some time to purchase some talismans in the market," Yang Fan contemplated.

Just then, a voice called from outside, "My lord, the second princess seeks an audience."

"The second princess?" Yang Fan was momentarily taken aback. "I'll go out and have a look." He tidied his belongings and opened the door, only to find Yu Wen Xin standing in the dimly lit courtyard, clad in a flowing white palace gown, her hair lightly bound. The starlight and moonlight seemed to adorn her, framing her delicate figure and alabaster features, which exuded a fragile beauty amidst the night's breeze.

Yang Fan approached, admiring her for a moment, feeling a sense of delight in his heart.

What a stunning beauty of her generation!

The only pity was that she belonged to the secular world, and Yang Fan held no extravagant notions.

"The second princess looks much better; it seems your health has improved significantly."

Yang Fan smiled lightly, noting that Yu Wen Xin appeared even better than he had imagined.

"Thanks to Doctor Yang's miraculous rejuvenation skills, I express my heartfelt gratitude here."

Yu Wen Xin bowed, her face radiating sincerity and appreciation

.

"Please don't mention it; it's merely my duty," Yang Fan replied casually.

After a brief silence, Yu Wen Xin looked up, her gaze steady. "Doctor Yang, if you don't mind… may I ask if you have any special insights regarding medicinal herbs? I'm interested in gathering herbs for refining medicine."

Her voice was soft, yet it resonated with earnestness.

"Collecting medicinal herbs? I know a little; do you seek herbs for a specific ailment?"

Yang Fan inquired, genuinely interested. He recognized that Yu Wen Xin's demeanor was unlike that of ordinary women; her inquiries seemed to possess greater depth, and she likely had her reasons for collecting them.

"The southern part of Kyoto has many medicinal herbs that can cure ailments," she replied. "Though my sister is currently in good health, we ought to prepare for unforeseen circumstances."

Yang Fan pondered for a moment, and it suddenly struck him that the Yu Wen clan might possess some special medicinal herbs that were rare in the market. If he could procure these, it would benefit him greatly when he opened his clinic.

"Very well," Yang Fan replied, "I can accompany you to gather some herbs. But we must do it early tomorrow morning; the moon is too bright now for us to wander outside."

"Of course! I will await your presence early in the morning," Yu Wen Xin said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"See you then," Yang Fan replied, turning to re-enter the room.

As he closed the door, Yang Fan's heart raced slightly, contemplating what lay ahead.

"Tomorrow, I must tread carefully. After all, I'm merely a doctor; yet I'm also the owner of 'Shang Yi Clinic.'"
