Chapter 6:Eternal Inheritance

The golden dragon had already found it strange when Tianfan claimed he had never cultivated before, so she intended to sense his blood. However, she never anticipated what was about to unfold.

The dry ground began to tremble slightly, and Tianfan could barely stand as if something within him was awakening.

Ahead, countless withered bones suddenly burst forth with blinding divine light. At that moment, the golden dragon felt a deep sorrow, as though countless fallen beings were weeping. For Tianfan, the sensation was even clearer—images once again surged through his mind. His body trembled violently, and tears soaked his face.

From the sea of bones, strands of golden light ascended into the sky, and a sacred aura began to spread. The mighty magical beasts of the forest turned their eyes toward the source, their gazes filled with awe.

In the heavens, pure energy from the world began to gather, drawn by this aura, and slowly, an enormous ancient glyph formed in the sky. The ancient symbol was brimming with holiness, defiance, and majesty. The golden dragon stared at it in bewilderment, unsure of what it signified.

Tianfan stood, dumbstruck, gazing at the ancient glyph. His tears had already dried, and he looked at the sky in shock. Although the golden dragon couldn't recognize it, he could. Due to his inability to cultivate, he had read many books, and among the vast archives of the Longteng Empire, ancient texts were abundant. The symbol in the sky was a word from tens of thousands of years ago—a gigantic character for "God."

"What in the world is happening?" Tianfan thought, astonished. But before he could make sense of it, the enormous character began to coalesce brilliant light, hurtling directly toward him.

"Gods above!"

Tianfan was so terrified that he felt his soul leave his body. He tried to run, but the space around him had solidified—he couldn't move at all.

"My life is over..." he thought in despair as the gigantic symbol drew closer. The colossal glyph was now right before him, shrinking until it was the size of an ordinary character. It hovered silently before his eyes, as though assessing the human in front of it. Then, in a flash, it transformed into a beam of light and imprinted itself on Tianfan's brow.

A faint "God" character appeared at the center of his forehead, slowly sinking deep into his skull.

"Boom…"

A faint light began to emanate from Tianfan's body, and a silver formation surfaced from deep within his soul, rotating slowly above his head.

"That... that seems to be the legendary 'Five Elements Seal'?" The golden dragon, having awakened her ancient bloodline, recognized the silver diagram.

"No wonder... No wonder he couldn't cultivate, yet emitted such a divine aura," she murmured. It became clear that the reason Tianfan couldn't cultivate was this Five Elements Seal.

The silver diagram above his head spun gently, then shattered, dissolving into a beam of silver light that entered his body. Simultaneously, Tianfan's divine aura surged, his power growing rapidly until a beam of divine light pierced the heavens.

No one knew how much time had passed, but when the radiance around him finally dissipated, Tianfan regained consciousness. He looked at his body in astonishment, realizing that something within him had profoundly changed. He felt extraordinarily light, as if he could leap to the skies with ease.

The golden dragon watched Tianfan in shock, still reeling from the mysterious scene that had just transpired. Only when Tianfan called her name softly did she return to her senses and take a closer look at him.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Tianfan asked, puzzled by her gaze.

"Do you feel any different compared to before?" The golden dragon ignored his question, instead posing one of her own.

"I do feel different," Tianfan replied thoughtfully. "My body feels incredibly light, and I'm filled with strength." He had sensed it before, and now, upon the golden dragon's inquiry, he confirmed it.

"You've already reached the peak of the Condensation Realm—just one step away from the Sky Mysteries Domain," the golden dragon said, her words shocking Tianfan deeply.

"You're saying I've reached the peak of the Condensation Realm? That's impossible!"

He couldn't believe her words. He was someone who had never cultivated—how could he suddenly reach the peak of the second realm? Though unfamiliar with cultivation, he knew enough about the divisions of power on Shenwu Continent to understand how absurd this sounded.

"Nothing is impossible. Reflect on what just happened to you," the golden dragon said softly.

Realizing that the golden dragon wasn't lying, Tianfan closed his eyes, trying to recall the events. All he could remember was the giant "God" character imprinting itself on his brow, and then he had lost consciousness.

Slowly, his mind drifted into a dark place where several golden characters appeared—"Heavenly God Heart Technique"—and these ancient symbols merged into his body in a burst of divine light.

His mind was jolted back, and he opened his eyes abruptly.

"It seems you've realized something," the golden dragon said, observing his expression.

"Yes, I can cultivate now," Tianfan whispered softly.

Though his tone was calm, the golden dragon could sense his inner excitement. For a man who had been unable to cultivate for nearly twenty years, a man who had long given up hope, the revelation that he could now cultivate was a joy few could comprehend. The golden dragon could see that Tianfan had endured much hardship, and in her heart, she felt a deep sympathy for him.

A silence fell between the human and the dragon, as though both were lost in their thoughts.

"Human, I have a request," the golden dragon finally broke the silence. Her voice was soft, as if she had come to a decision.

"Speak. If it's within my power, I'll certainly help you," Tianfan replied earnestly.

"I want you to take care of my child. Bring them into this world," the golden dragon said, her words stunning Tianfan.

"Uh…" Tianfan was momentarily speechless, feeling as though something was lodged in his throat.

"Where is your child? How am I supposed to care for them? I don't even know if I can leave this place alive," he blurted out. The golden dragon's request left him utterly perplexed. Although he had reached the peak of the Condensation Realm and could now cultivate, he was still deep within the perilous Magical Forest. He couldn't guarantee his own safety, let alone take on the responsibility of a dragon child.

"My child has yet to be born. I'll leave the rest to you, and as for leaving here, don't worry," the golden dragon said gently, her gaze filled with tenderness as she looked at her abdomen. Her body began to tremble violently, and Tianfan saw that her once gleaming golden scales were losing their luster. He could feel her life force rapidly fading away. Though she was enduring immense pain, she remained silent, the tenderness in her eyes unwavering.

A soft purple-gold glow emanated from her belly, growing brighter and more radiant until a golden sun split from her body. From within that radiant orb, Tianfan could feel an overwhelming life force.

When the purple-gold light finally dispersed, a massive white egg, nearly half a meter tall, appeared beside the golden dragon. It emitted a faint purple-gold glow. The dragon looked at the egg with deep affection, her enormous form shrinking until a woman in a purple gown stood before Tianfan. Her once beautiful face was now deathly pale.

The dragon-turned-woman knelt gently, cradling the egg in her hands, her face brushing softly against it as tears streamed down her cheeks. Before she had achieved the Dragon God bloodline, this life had already taken root within her. She had believed that after her ascension, she would be able to protect her child. But things hadn't gone as expected. If she had known this would happen, she might have given up on becoming a Dragon God.

Watching her, Tianfan's heart ached. The woman slowly stood, carefully handing the dragon egg to Tianfan, who accepted it solemnly.

"I have poured all of my essence and Dragon God origins into this child. One day, they will emerge as the first true Dragon God of Shenwu Continent!"

As she spoke, the woman's aura flared once more with the unrivaled might she had displayed earlier. Lifting her slender hands to the sky, she summoned two spectral dragon claws, tearing through the void and creating a spatial passage.

Such absolute power! But Tianfan knew this was the last of her strength. After this, her fate was sealed—she would die.

She cast one final glance at the dragon egg in Tianfan's arms, her eyes filled with affection.

"Goodbye, my child."

A spectral dragon claw appeared beside Tianfan, enveloping him in a gentle force that transported him into the spatial passage.

"I entrust you with this, human," the woman said one last time, her voice soft, before she vanished into the air, a peaceful smile on her face.

Tianfan stared at the dragon egg in his arms, at the smile on the woman's face, and closed his eyes in sorrow.

The spatial passage slowly closed, but at that very moment, he abruptly turned around, casting his gaze over the sea of countless skeletal remains. There, a colossal dark cyan stone stele stood, its surface faintly revealing two ancient characters. Tianfan's eyes immediately narrowed. Those two characters were— "Divine Suppression!"

Could it be... could these countless bones be the remains of gods? He gathered divine light into his eyes once again, attempting to see more clearly, but the dense white mist rolled in, completely veiling the scene ahead, obscuring his vision. At that instant, the spatial passage slammed shut with a resounding "boom," carrying Tianfan away to an unknown realm.

A gentle breeze stirred, lifting the swirling dust into the air, carrying with it a faint sorrow, as if whispering untold stories to the world. Yet who could truly comprehend them...
