Chapter 3: Event Triggered, Steel Revolt

"Accepted."

This was a prime opportunity to explore disaster events—no reason to miss it.

As soon as Azu made his decision, new information appeared before his eyes.

[You have accepted the event.]

[Event Name: Steel Revolt. Challenger.]

[Description: Those with immense power will always attract challengers. Right now, there is such a person in the city—Hanson Lev, a former robber you once arrested. After being released from prison, he gained support from a mysterious figure. Now, clad in a steel battle suit, he's robbing a bank and attempting to challenge your authority.]

[So, what are you waiting for?]

[Event Objective: Teach Hanson Lev a lesson, and show him your might.]

[Event Start!]

As the final line of information flashed across his retina...

An explosion echoed from the city.

Azu leapt to his feet and walked toward the window.

"Clean this place up."

"And I better not smell anything weird when I get back."

With that, he flew out of the window, disappearing into the sky in the blink of an eye.

Wind roared past Azu's ears.

In an instant, he arrived at the event location.

———

The Federal Savings Bank.

At that moment, the area was surrounded by police, but a massive vault door had been thrown on top of a police car.

The bank's main entrance was in ruins, clearly having been smashed out from the inside.

Then, a towering figure—nearly four meters tall—emerged from the doorway.

The black, iron-like body gleamed with a metallic sheen, with engines and exposed energy modules glowing faintly. Exhaust pipes jutted from its back, spewing hot smoke—a supersized 'Iron Man' strutted out of the bank.

Hovering high in the sky, Azu didn't intervene immediately.

He was more curious—where did this giant iron man come from?

There wasn't a character like this in The Boys,'Could my transmigration have caused some changes?'

"Hands up!"

"Step out of the machine!"

The police raised their guns, aiming at the giant iron man.

The armor on the iron man's exterior opened, revealing a bald man with a disfigured face.

The man sneered, "Call Homelander over right now."

"Today, I'm going to make him suffer the same pain I did!"

He pointed to his scarred face.

Azu tilted his head. Searching through the original Homelander's memories, he couldn't recall anything about this man.

It seems Homelander never considered him important enough to remember.

On the ground...

After speaking, Hanson Lev ducked back into his armor. The iron man raised its right hand, the armor on its wrist peeling back to reveal a cannon, which spewed a jet of flame.

Whoosh!

Boom!

A line of police cars exploded in the firestorm.

The iron man charged forward, hoisting the vault onto its shoulder with one hand, ready to leave.

Azu's attention shifted to the other side of the street.

On a nearby rooftop, a figure leapt down like a meteor, slamming into the ground.

The impact sent a wave of stone rippling through the street, causing the iron man to stumble.

Then, the figure lunged forward, delivering a flying kick that sent the iron man crashing backward.

The iron man flew through the air, smashing into several police cars before coming to a halt.

From inside his armor, Hanson Lev caught sight of the woman now standing in the street.

With fiery red hair, clad in gladiator-style armor, and boasting a scorching hot figure, it was none other than Queen Maeve, a member of The Seven.

Azu raised an eyebrow slightly.

Queen Maeve—superhuman strength and defense.

Sexy, mature.

And Homelander's old flame.

"This just got a lot more interesting."

Azu hovered in the sky, spectating like a bystander, wishing he had a bag of popcorn in hand.

"Who's gonna win?"

He glanced at the iron man—the robber who'd somehow acquired a battle suit from who-knows-where.

The iron man jumped up, his shoulder armor opening up to reveal missile launch pods on either side.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

A volley of small missiles shot toward Queen Maeve with a sharp hiss.

Maeve quickly ducked behind the vault door.

The vault's sturdy construction held up against the barrage of explosions, remaining intact.

Taking advantage of the moment, Maeve charged forward, tackling the iron man and knocking him off his feet.

She rolled back up, pivoted, and delivered a powerful kick right between the iron man's legs.

Many of the onlooking men instinctively flinched at the sight.

The iron man skidded across the ground, crashing into a streetlamp before coming to a stop.

But Maeve wasn't done. She sprinted toward him again.

The iron man raised his left arm, a launcher on his gauntlet firing with a whoosh.

Mid-air, the projectile unfolded, revealing a metallic net that ensnared Maeve.

Even with her strength, Maeve couldn't immediately tear the net apart.

The iron man seized the opportunity, charging in and landing a punch that sent Maeve sprawling. The crowd of onlookers gasped in shock.

Grabbing Maeve by the waist, the iron man swung her around several times before hurling her through the air.

She crashed into a police car, sending it flying, flipping through the air as it hurtled toward a group of bystanders.

The civilians screamed and scrambled to get out of the way.

All except for one little girl, around five or six years old, who stood frozen, watching the falling car with wide eyes.

It wasn't until the last second that her mother realized the danger, screaming, "Becky!"

The car plummeted.

People squeezed their eyes shut, bracing for the inevitable tragedy.

The girl's mother fainted on the spot.

But she was only unconscious for a second or two.

Then she heard the crowd's gasps, which quickly turned into cheers.

The mother looked up.

The car had landed safely on the ground.

Behind it...

A star-spangled cape fluttered in the wind.

As the cape settled, it revealed a blonde man in a blue suit.

And her daughter, Becky.

"Homelander..."

The mother immediately realized—it was Homelander who had saved her daughter.

The crowd began to gather around, chanting Homelander's name and reaching out to touch him.

They were like pilgrims worshipping a saint.

Azu smiled, nodding to the crowd before gently nudging the little girl. "Do me a favor and stay close to your mom, okay?"

The girl nodded and raised a tiny fist. "Homelander, beat up the bad guys."

Azu placed his hand over his heart and smiled warmly. "As you wish, miss."

With the girl's laughter still in his ears, Azu lifted off the ground, flying across the street to where Maeve had fallen.

He adjusted the power of his heat vision, shooting out two beams of deep red light to slice through the metallic net entangling her.

"You okay?" he asked.

Maeve shrugged. "Not dead."

"Then take a breather."

Azu smiled, turning to face the iron man. "Round two is mine."

Inside the armor, Hanson roared, "Homelander, you finally showed up."

"You bastard! I'm going to roast your face like a piece of burnt meat!"

Azu raised a single finger. "Tell me who gave you that suit, and I might put in a good word with the judge."

"Go to hell!"

The iron man flipped him the bird.

Azu chuckled.

In an instant, he appeared behind the iron man.

"Hope you've got a parachute."

Before Hanson could react, Azu grabbed the hulking metal suit and rocketed into the sky.

"What are you doing?!"

"Let me go, you son of a—!"

Azu grinned, flashing his teeth. "You asked for it."

With a powerful toss, he flung the iron man high into the air.

"Noooo!"

As the iron man reached the peak of his ascent and began plummeting back down, Azu's eyes lit up, molten energy churning within them.

The next second...

Boom!

A blast of energy shot out like a cannon.

Laser Vision, lethal mode!

The deep red beam struck the iron man square in the chest.

His armor melted rapidly.

Then, with a flash of fire...

Boom!

A massive fireball erupted in the sky.

Hanson Lev and his suit were blown to smithereens, fragments raining down from above.

Azu adjusted the power of his heat vision, sweeping the area and vaporizing every last piece of debris.
