Chapter 11: Is That Your Last Words?

In the business class of the Boeing jet, Azu charged forward, smashing through the luxurious seats as they shattered into pieces.

By the time the last seat was destroyed, Azu finally laid eyes on his target.

Eddie Or—his left ear missing, his face scarred.

Dark black veins snaked across his skin, quickly spreading over his body, turning him into a "black man."

Azu didn't hesitate, ramming straight into him.

Eddie didn't even have time to groan before his entire body was sent flying, crashing through a wall into the galley. Debris scattered everywhere, leaving the space in complete disarray.

Sparks crackled from the damaged equipment, smoke rising.

Not waiting to check if Eddie was dead, Azu's eyes glowed deep red as twin beams of light shot into the galley.

He slowly turned his head, the beams slicing through the galley and cutting straight into the cockpit, tearing everything apart.

As chunks of the cabin fell away, Azu's view cleared.

He saw Eddie lying on the ground, his lower torso severed, and his right arm missing.

Yet, despite this, Eddie wasn't dead. His body was rapidly regenerating, growing new flesh and rebuilding his lost limbs.

The process looked excruciatingly painful—Eddie screamed as bones pushed out from his back, forming sharp spikes along his spine.

Perhaps fearing another attack, Eddie suddenly leaped from the plane, diving into the shadows of the terminal hall.

Azu frowned slightly, dashing out after him, crashing through the side of the plane and landing on the ground.

In the shadows, Eddie's figure twisted and distorted. Two bright red flames flickered in the darkness, shifting quickly.

Suddenly.

Eddie lunged out.

At that moment, a helicopter flew by, its bright searchlight flooding the hall, revealing Eddie's fully transformed form.

He had become a complete monster.

Standing at over eight feet tall, his upper body grotesquely deformed. Spikes jutted from his back, his left arm now reaching past his knees, while his right arm remained normal but ended in a massive claw.

His face was covered in coarse black fur, his nose gone, his features now resembling a bat's face.

Sharp fangs lined his mouth like the teeth of a predator straight out of legend.

Eddie moved with incredible speed, rushing toward Azu and shouting, "Tonight, Homelander's reign ends!"

With his massive claw, he struck toward Azu's chest, his sharp talons coming together like blades, aiming to pierce through.

This scene was witnessed clearly by those aboard the helicopter.

The BBC reporters gasped, the journalist's voice trembling as she narrated into the camera.

"Everyone, did you see that?"

"A monster—a real monster—is attacking Homelander!"

In the terminal hall.

Eddie's claw slammed into Azu's chest with a rush of air. But instead of tearing through flesh, his talons shattered upon impact, unable to even pierce Azu's skin.

Eddie's blood-red eyes widened in shock. His left arm suddenly sprouted rows of bone spikes, as sharp as shark teeth.

Spinning around!

He swung his arm like a blade toward Azu's neck!

The helicopter crew gasped in horror once again.

But in the next instant.

They watched as Eddie's arm snapped in half, bending at an unnatural angle. His bones tore through his flesh, spraying blood everywhere.

Azu closed his eyes, a faint smile on his face.

"What did you say just now?"

Suddenly, he opened his eyes wide.

Twin beams of red light shot out.

Eddie screamed and leaned back, narrowly avoiding the beams. He rolled to the side, barely dodging as the beams sliced vertically down.

"Pretty nimble."

Azu chuckled, disappearing in a blur.

If he could catch up with A-Train, catching Eddie was child's play.

As Eddie was still mid-roll, Azu appeared behind him.

Grabbing Eddie by the back of the head, Azu slammed him into the ground.

Boom!

The entire terminal shook.

Eddie was driven head-first into the floor, his legs pointing up in the air.

Azu kicked him hard in the side, sending his body flying. Eddie smashed through a large section of the terminal's windows, tumbling across the tarmac outside before finally coming to a stop.

Eddie's entire body was twisted and mangled, with bones shattered beyond count.

But his body quickly began to wriggle, bones sliding back into place as muscle knit together. He was healing rapidly.

When Azu floated out of the terminal, Eddie had already risen to his feet, laughing maniacally.

"It's useless."

"I'm immortal."

The moment the words left his mouth.

Azu appeared.

Both palms clapped together on Eddie's ears with a deafening wham, causing Eddie to scream as his head deformed, his eyes and tongue bulging grotesquely.

Azu chuckled.

Then, he punched Eddie hard in the gut.

With a bang, a fountain of blood erupted from Eddie's back as Azu's punch left a gaping hole in his torso.

Then, Azu unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks.

When he finally stopped.

Eddie was barely recognizable—his body a mass of broken, twisted flesh.

Yet even this bloodied mass wriggled and twisted, regenerating rapidly.

But Eddie was clearly exhausted, panting heavily.

"So that's how it is."

"Incredible regeneration."

"No wonder they call you a 'disaster.'"

Azu crossed his arms, pinching his chin thoughtfully with one hand.

Eddie's eyes filled with despair.

Even after injecting the "Sacred Blood," he wasn't a match for Homelander.

"You monster!"

Eddie glared at Azu, "But don't get cocky."

"I'm just the first wave. More are coming—the second wave, the third wave!"

"They'll destroy your evil nation!"

Azu nodded, "That much, I agree with."

Eddie screamed hysterically, "Darkness will rise from across the ocean! It will devour all light, withering everything in its path. Only the Night Kingdom will remain standing!"

"Is that your last words?"

Azu teleported in front of Eddie, gripping his shoulders with both hands, smiling.

"Guess what?"

"I'm going to punch a hole through your Night Kingdom and your so-called darkness."

"Just like this!"

His eyes glowed bright red, the deep crimson light intensifying until it bathed the entire airport in its radiance.

Boom!

A massive torrent of red energy erupted from Azu's eyes, obliterating Eddie's head and most of his chest in an instant.

Azu snapped his head back, the beam tearing through the night sky, ripping through the thick clouds and disappearing into the darkness beyond.

As the red glow slowly faded, Azu looked down at Eddie's body, watching it gradually lose its color. His remains crumbled from within, dissolving into dust and vanishing into the wind.

At that moment, a series of messages appeared in Azu's vision.
