Chapter 14: "Time-Limited Event"

In the third week of July 2024, on a Monday morning, students were given a one-week break to recover both physically and mentally. This break was likely due to the overwhelming challenges they faced, such as battling monster dummies or dealing with disputes among different pairs or groups, which led to them blaming each other for their losses.

Rowan and Elira parted ways, as Elira wanted to have a friendly chat with her new friends: Lady Nimue, Lady Rhiannon, and the Second Princess Elowen. Meanwhile, Rowan headed to Sector 16 of Everglow Academy, known as the Eternal Ascent, to continue leveling up his skills alongside Knight Commander Selene. Something had just popped up on his window screen from Fate's Pull.

----------

Rowan has abilities that allow him to fight only against opponents ranked from (G) to (F). However, if he uses all of his summoned characters, the situation changes. The System has implemented a counter for users summoning characters: while users can summon their characters, they will only receive 50% of the Pull Rewards. However, if the user delivers the final blow, despite the significant assistance from the summoned characters, the counter will not apply.

Rowan returned to Floor 1, a vast grassland inhabited by Rank (G) monsters. These monsters dealt minimal damage, typically between 0 and 10 points, making them relatively harmless. Among them were Tiny Slimes, which were smaller than regular slimes. They resembled baby slimes and appeared as small particles when they attempted to split from one another. Tiny Slimes would attack if touched, but their impact was nominal.

Rowan summoned all his characters and began attacking the Tiny Slimes, Leafy Hares, Timber Pups, and a Rustle Lizard. He transformed all the Villagers into Militias to increase his manpower for dealing with these creatures. Meanwhile, Knight Commander Selene observed from the sidelines, remaining on standby.

After clearing all the monsters from the vast grassland, Rowan was transported to Floor 2. This new floor was similar to Floor 1, but all the monsters' and wild animals' stats increased by 1%, and the number of enemies rose by an additional 3%. And with that, Rowan grinds and grinds to get the pull rewards despite receiving a low of 2-3 pull rewards.

----------

Rowan repeated this process several times, which earned him more reward pulls. As a result, he leveled up numerous times, and his reward pulls kept accumulating, eventually reaching 10,000 throughout the day. Later, he returned to the Everheart Dormitories, where he met a group of girls: Lady Elira, Lady Nimue, Lady Rhiannon, and Second Princess Elowen, who were still engaged in conversation.

Rowan sat down in an empty chair beside Elira, feeling exhausted and low on energy. He rested his head on Elira's shoulder, and they all wondered why he looked so tired. Elira noticed that his energy level had increased, so she suggested they go to Sector 16 of Everglow Academy, known as the Eternal Ascent.

After resting on Elira's shoulder, Rowan woke up and recounted his entire day's adventures to the girls. His stories were surprising and sparked a lot of curiosity, especially within the Second Princess, Elowen. She was intrigued by the so-called Time-Limited Event that Rowan had experienced. Elowen realized that she had never encountered this feature before in any other Gacha Class Jobs. She wondered if this unique aspect was exclusive to Rowan because of the rarity of his Class Job.

Thanks to the Oath of Protection Scroll, Rowan's exclusive and unique Gacha class is kept a secret. He does not want any unwanted or problematic situations to arise in his daily life, especially concerning his friends, family, loved ones, and others he cares about. This is particularly true for individuals like the arrogant blond student and the very dangerous Second Prince along with his faction.

After that, Rowan and Elira returned to their dorms. Elira headed off to take a shower while Rowan began repeating phrases like "Give me luck" as often as he could. Since it was still Day 1 of the time-limited event, the rewards he received were excellent and very useful like:

1. Beginner Resource Production (Rare Tier) [Items: 10]

2. Steadfast Gauntlets (Rare Tier) [Items: 5]

3. Elemental Rune (Rare Tier) [Items: 5]

4. Tactician Cloak (Rare Tier) [Item: 5]

5. Full Set of Selective Equipment (Epic Tier) [Item: 5]

6. Intermediate Resource Production (Epic Tier) [Items: 5]

7. Lifebound Pendent (Epic Tier) [One-Item-Used: 10]

8. Commander's Banner (Epic Tier) [One-Item-Used: 20]

The remaining items are protective artifacts, one-time-use items, and other supportive items for emergencies. As for the summoned characters received from the pull rewards, they are:

1. Knights (Rare Tier) [Units: 10]

2. Advanced Mages (Rare Tier) [Units: 10]

3. Advanced Swordsman (Rare Tier) [Units: 20]

4. Advanced Bowmans (Rare Tier) [Units: 10]

5. Advanced Shieldmans (Rare Tier) [Units: 20]

6. Battle Bard (Rare Tier) [Units: 5]

7. Stealth Scout (Rare Tier) [Units: 5]

8. Sword Guardians (Epic Tier) [Units: 5] {Basic Level of Human Intelligence}

9. War Strategists (Epic Tier) [Units: 5] {Basic Level of Human Intelligence}

10. Shadow Assassin (Epic Tier) [Units: 5] {Basic Level of Human Intelligence}

Rowan was surprised by the Sword Guardians, War Strategists, and Shadow Assassins, as they had developed a basic level of human understanding. Although their comprehension was not as advanced as that of Knight Commander Selene, who fully understands all levels of human awareness, they were now able to communicate and possess their memories.

Tomorrow, he will continue leveling up and earning more rewards in the Eternal Ascent before the time-limited event ends. His one-week vacation will also come to an end, and classes will return to their usual schedules and study programs.
