Beau studied the look on the Governor's face and fought not to laugh. The man wore his feeling on his sleeves so much that was amazing that he even had a successful career in politics.
Or maybe he just thought that with no one around to hold him accountable, he didn't need to care about it so much.
"Your healing must have taken a beating today," mused the Governor as he studied the other man. "First you had to deal with all those patients down in quarantine and then the general illnesses of the rest of the camp. On top of all that, just as you are about to relax, I pull you off your nice couch and force you to take care of Lucinda."
The smile on Beau's face was every bit as fake as the one on Marcus' face. "Healing is my calling," he said. "I'll never not want to do it."
